We have had dogs our entire life. Owned horse boarding farm for 17 years with up to 40 horses. Stone Tavern Farm in the Catskills Boarded dogs while guest came to our all weekend wedding venue.

Our two golden retrievers boarded for three nights with John and they received great care. Numerous updates along the way and they got along great with the other family pets. Will definitely be a repeat destination for our fur babies !

We would recommend John to anyone! He was able to watch Nellie on short notice when our OBX rental didn’t allow dogs, and we’re so grateful we found him. He was super communicative, sent daily updates and lots of photos, and took such great care of her. Nelly is a high energy lab, and he kept her happy and worn out with plenty of fetch in their fenced in yard! John and his wife, Zena, are so kind and down to earth. We would absolutely use them again if we’re ever back in the OBX area!
This was our 2nd time using John, highly recommend him. We will be using him in the future again.
Our chocolate lab Elka took to John immediately. She followed him around, seeking his attention, and happily received it. John has an ideal set up for boarding…large fenced yard……his own dogs for companionship….and comfortable beds/couches that are open for use. I would gladly board my dog with John again!

A typical day
We let the dogs out almost hourly, and we have a doggie door going to our half acre fenced in backyard if they need more. We feed them separately and they sleep in our house. We place Apple tile trackers on the dogs collars as soon as they arrive just in case they should slip out the door which has never happened by the way.
