Pet care experience
We've always had pets around so it's been part of my life ever since I can remember. We've mainly had strays - cats and dogs - who have been a little more maintenance than the average (from diabetic cats requiring daily injections to terrified dogs who needed to be somewhat rehabilitated and tamed). I started cat and dog sitting for family and friends and for the past couple of years I've been working for a dog-care company, taking care of dogs for up to two weeks at a time, so I have a lot of experience caring for many different types of dogs, from Labradors to Dachshunds!

Joe is an easy going & relaxed character who Oscar immediately warmed to. We felt totally at ease leaving Joe in our home while we went out for an evening out with friends. We came in late close to midnight which was no problem at all for Joe. We will definitely be using Joe again soon!
Joe and his mum both clearly have lots of experience looking after dogs. They were both very calm and Tuna settled with them quickly. I would have no hesitation recommending them to others and would definitely book with them again

If they come to stay with me, they generally just become part of the family, depending on, of course, boundaries set by each owner. If they're allowed on the furniture, they will be here, if they aren't, I can keep them in their baskets. If I am house-sitting, the same applies - I will try to stick to your routine as much as possible, from meal times to bed times.

Apart from the obvious routine and food? I would like to know about their likes and dislikes so I can help them settle in as quick as possible and avoid subjecting them to anything unusual they find scary! I find that allowing them to settle in at their own speed the most successful way.
A typical day
I live near a large park and woods where there are a lot of different areas to explore and (apparently) many interesting smells. It's safely away from traffic and other dangers too, although I wouldn't ever allow them off their lead. There's also a stream that dogs enjoy to paddle in, in the summer of course. I like to vary the routes I take so there's always something new for them to inspect! I'm very happy to have a slow stroll, a faster paced walk or even a run, depending on the needs of each dog (although I often regret a run later on!).

Availability
As I work freelance I have no specific routine or time requirements for my day so I can fit everything around my guests. I'm happy to work with a dog on my lap if they need the extra reassurance. Generally I work Monday to Thursday anytime between 10 and 5 and mornings on Friday and Saturday with Sunday completely free.
