Hi, I’m Joe. I’ve dedicated over a decade to animal welfare, working in leadership and frontline roles with a Pet Rehoming Charity across Yorkshire and the North of England. I currently lead client services within a rehoming centre, overseeing admissions, adoptions, and volunteer support. Alongside my practical experience, I hold a BSc (Hons) in Animal Behaviour and Training, and I’ve worked as an Animal Behaviour Coordinator delivering coaching support, training advice, and support for pets with a wide range of behavioural needs. I also have experience of fostering. I have fostered Cats, dogs and a variety of small animals. I have experience with Rabbits, Guinea Pigs, Hamsters, Chinchillas, Rats and Mice. I have a deep understanding of each species’ needs, temperaments, and welfare requirements. Animals are not just my passion — they are my profession. I’m confident with Pets of all sizes, breeds, and temperaments, and I take a calm, structured, reward-based approach to care. Because of my background, safety and wellbeing are always my priority. I take time to understand your pets routine, triggers, and comfort levels. I use positive, evidence-based handling methods.I provide clear communication and updates. I remain calm and consistent — particularly important for under confident pets. I treat your pet as an individual. I have supported hundreds of adopters through life-changing journeys with their pets, so I understand how important trust is when leaving your animal with someone new.
