I work part‑time from home, which means I’m around for plenty of company, supervision, and cuddles throughout the day. I enjoy spending time outdoors, whether that’s exploring local walks, heading out for adventures, or a trip to the beach. At the same time, I know that dogs also enjoy their downtime. On colder or wetter days, I'm just as happy staying in - settling down with a good movie, some sofa snuggles, and a relaxed, calm atmosphere. I aim to strike the perfect balance between fun, exercise, and comfort, adapting each day to suit your dog’s energy levels and personality.

My home is warm and welcoming. I have a secure garden where your dog can safely explore, play, and enjoy some fresh air, as well as a spacious open‑plan kitchen, dining, and living area. This allows dogs to move around comfortably and truly feel part of everyday family life, rather than being confined.

Information Jodie V. would like to know about your pet
To ensure your dog has a safe, happy, and stress‑free stay, it’s helpful to know the following before their visit: Feeding routine – food type, amounts, times, and any treats allowed Daily routine – walk length, energy level, nap habits Medical needs – medications, allergies, injuries, or ongoing conditions Veterinary details – registered vet and emergency contact Behaviour & personality – nervous triggers, reactivity, fears, likes/dislikes Social preferences – how they are with other dogs and children Comfort items – favourite toys, bedding, or anything that helps them settle The more I know about your dog, the better I can tailor their care and make them feel at home from day one.
A typical day
Dogs enjoy a relaxed, home‑from‑home routine. Mornings start with breakfast and a walk, followed by company throughout the day as I work from home. There’s a balance of walks, garden time, play, and rest, with dogs free to relax in our open‑plan living space and be part of family life. The afternoon includes another walk or outing, tailored to your dog’s needs, whether that’s a calm potter or a longer, more adventurous walk. Back at home, there’s plenty of time to relax, recharge, and enjoy being part of everyday family life. Dogs are never confined and always have company. Evenings are calm and cosy, with dinner, fuss, and plenty of snuggles, followed by a final garden break before settling down for the night. Everything is adapted to suit your dog’s needs, energy levels, and routine. Whether your dog is an energetic explorer or a happy homebody, I adapt each day to make them feel relaxed, secure, and truly at home.

Pet care experience
I’m a friendly, reliable dog sitter and the proud owner of Timmy, my gentle and sociable Cavapoo, who enjoys making new friends. Living in an area surrounded by some of North Devon’s most beautiful countryside gives me the perfect setting to provide dogs with a happy, active, and enriching stay. I’m ideally located close to the Tarka Trail, the beach, Exmoor, and Dartmoor, which means your dog can enjoy a wonderful variety of walks - from peaceful woodland paths and scenic riverside strolls, to fresh sea air and open moorland adventures. I’ve looked after many dogs over the years, each with their own personality, needs, and routines, and I always make sure every dog is treated as part of the family. Whether your dog loves long walks, playful company, or simply a calm and caring home environment, I provide a safe space where they can feel relaxed and well cared for while you’re away.
