Attentive and fun pet sitter
Pet care experience
Before Rover existed, I’ve had my side business of pet sitting/walking since I was able to earn money. I am working to go back to college to become a veterinarian. I have experience working at doggy daycares, animal shelters, and animal hospitals. I am not CPR/first aid certified, but I was and am working to get that back.

Reviews
Joanna is a loving caring person who adores all animals. She has a true affection for any furry living thing. She has a great deal of experience as she has worked for the SPCA and as an assistant at a veterinary clinic. I would choose her if available over anyone else. I hope you would consider her for your company.
Joanna is an AMAZING pet owner and caregiver. Whenever I need help or advice for my own dogs she is the first one I call

Information Joanna S. would like to know about your pet
Besides the obvious of knowing medication or allergies to be aware of, the “special needs” question for animals isn’t as black and white for me. I put “No” but it truly depends on what the degree or type of special needs your animal has. I’m comfortable with most, but I do have my preferences and would need to know prior to a meet and greet to see if I can securely accommodate for your animal(s). One thing I find very reassuring about Rover is they require to give veterinarian information for each animal. I would like to add onto that by knowing the emergency hospital you rely on, or if your vet/vet office has emergency hotline. You never know what could happen, even if it’s something as minor as a dog getting stung by a bee on its paw. If you don’t have one, there are a few in the area I can recommend and see your comfortability with.
A typical day
I hike and backpack. There are tons of trails as well as nature preserves in Chester County. I’m not fond of dog parks due to how often it breeds fights, but I will take dogs when it’s empty. For cats, engaging them with toys and company is always best. There’s always something they are looking for or need. They may be independent but they do like to be cared for.

Availability
Currently working full time on weekdays at a doctor’s office in Exton, but I get a 30 minute break that can work as my time to drop by to relieve puppos. I do bounce around offices in Paoli and Strafford when needed. As of right now, my availability is out to December due to moving back into the area. I apologize for the inconvenience.
