I work from home during typical business hours, although my schedule is very flexible and I often have time for mid-day walks with your pets. My weekends are not too busy, and I'll often make time for an extra long walk, a hike, or going to the park.

I have a third floor apartment close to a city park in busy capitol hill/first hill. I always make sure pets are leashed before leaving the apartment. I also make sure to discuss the pet's temperament, training, and possible reactivity triggers so I know if I need to walk them during a less busy time of day or avoid the elevator, etc.

If they are used to a certain routine, I try to maintain that so they don’t get too stressed in a new environment. Beyond that, I love to stimulate your dogs with walks, play time, and occasionally a nice chew stick (I always make sure to check that with you though). I love to chill and read at the end of the day, so cuddles are always welcome! Pets are free to sleep in my bed, but if they prefer not to or they have a crate, that is great too!

I love taking care of my extended fur family and I want to extend that love and care to yours. I'm known in my family as the dog auntie :) I will gladly drop everything to care for your pets so you can have peace of mind, wherever your travels take you. I have been pet sitting in some capacity for 15 years and regularly dog sitting for 5. I have experience with dogs of all sizes and cats. I have also had the pleasure of fostering and training a bully mix through the Seattle Animal Shelter, and am so happy to say he's now in his forever home.

Joanna always does a great job with our young, high energy dog. Very communicative and flexible, and Juno comes home happy and sleepy. Thank you!!
Joanna was a great dog sitter for our two large breed dogs (Rottweiler and Pitbull). She had them at her apartment for 10 days. Before confirming the reservation, we did a meet and greet and she allowed us to see her home where our dogs would stay. She demonstrated experience by asking good behavioral questions to ensure she understands our dogs personalities well. She provided us pictures daily and made us feel comfortable the entire time. She administered a daily oral pill for one of our dogs and also gave them their simparico trio medicine while we were gone. Prior to booking, she made us aware that she had an obligation on the last day of our booking. She coordinated with her friends (who are also dog sitters) and they were able to fill in. It was nice to know that she had backup help in addition to her own service. We strongly recommend Joanna and plan to use her again. We think our dogs miss her already.
Joanna did a great job. Got lots of updates and my dog came back tired and happy.
Joanna took the best care of my Bubbles, who can be a bit anxious when I’m away. Will definitely be re-booking!
