I have had dogs most of my life and my husband and I have always had dogs since we got married many years ago. I have also watched friends and families dogs and also fostered a dog that my daughter took for her own. We live on 1.5 acres with access to 4 more acres for giving your pet some exercise. Our property is not fenced but we do not let our pets out by themselves. We live in a rural area and often take my dog on long walks. I would take your dog on walks as well based on what your dog is used to. Your dog will go outside several times a day. I would love to give your dog a loving, carefree environment to stay in while you are away. If you need someone to watch your dog while you are at work let me know. I am also willing to come to your house to let your dog out or walk it if you prefer. Why I love dog sitting I have liked dogs since I can remember. I grew up with dogs mostly shepherds. Since my husband and I got married 30 years ago, we have not been without a dog. Our dogs have been rescue dogs. I also fostered a dog that someone got at a shelter and was going to take back. I said I would take the dog and find a home for it. My daughter ended up taking the dog. About my yard We have 1.5 acres with access to 4 more acres. Our yard is not fenced but we do not let our dog out without one of us with her. We have grass and some trees in the yard. My experience administering medication Yes, just give me the administration directions. We had a dog that was on daily oral medication and at one time on eye drops.

Lago was happy and well cared for when we picked him up. JoAnn and Mike seemed to like him and accommodate his high intelligence and energy.
JoAnn was so very nice to have as a sitter for our pup. She was cheerful and accommodating. We look forward to seeing her again soon!
I never worry about my dog when I leave her with JoAnn. My dog has a vacation from me and learns to enjoy another household. JoAnn is highly responsible. She and her husband make it possible for me to travel without worrying about my pet. So far my dog has spent over two months with JoAnn and Michael and I have no doubt she will be staying with them again. Do not hesitate to leave your pet with this great sitter.
It’s always a pleasure working with JoAnn and Michael. My dog is very comfortable there and I know she will be safe. I get updates and pictures. It’s wonderful knowing that I have a reliable place for my dog when I take a vacation.
Joann was great with Smokey. She was very communicative and gave us updates daily. Our dog is sometimes unsure of new people but he warmed up to JoAnn so quickly and I could tell he had a great time with them!

Schedule
I am home most of the time. I work part-time seasonally during the fall. My husband is my back-up if I am going to be gone.

Safety, trust & environment
I do not have a fenced yard and all dogs are taken outside on a leash. I do have a tie-out to use if I am outside. I do not leave dogs on the tie-out when I am not outside.
A typical day
Here's where we'll take our walks We live in a rural area and I often take my dog for walks in the area. I can do the same for your dog if you so desire. Your dog's sleeping arrangement Will have cushions by the couch and by the bed. If your dog is used to a crate please bring it with you. Time I'll spend with your dog I am semi-retired so will be home most of the time. I do have a part time job where I am gone a few hours during the day.
