I have previously worked as a vet assistant in a veterinarian's office and as the rescue/foster/adoption coordinator at an animal shelter. I have over 25 years of personal experience and 5 years of professional experience taking care of pets of all ages, sizes and temperaments. I can administer medications orally, topically, give injections, and IV fluids with confidence. I'll take care of your pet as as if they were one of my own!

Jo did a great job taking care of my two older cats for several days. One of my cats needs insulin injections and Jo was committed to making that happen. (And my cat does not make that easy, but Jo got it done!) I feel 100% comfortable leaving my pets and home in Jo’s care. She stayed in touch with me throughout the time I was gone, asked questions when she needed to, and gave me updates on their care. I trust Jo completely.
We should be so lucky to have everything in traveling be as easy as having Jo take care of our pup. Jo is amazing. Our dog is a senior and does not like change. She took to Jo immediately. Jo completely understood her personality quirks. Jo is the first person who has taken care of her and she eats everyday we are gone. Jo takes pictures of our pup on every visit which sets our mind at ease. She loves playing ball with Jo and their visits together. My husband and I fully trust Jo with our girl and know that you will also.

I am happy to care for your pet in your home according to any instructions or requests that you share. I am also happy to water plants or bring in mail if you wish. After a successful meet and greet, I would be happy to host your pet in my home. There's a fully fenced yard and ample grass to romp in and take care of business. I live in a quiet neighborhood and am game to take your dog on a walk with mine. Pets are welcome on the furniture and there's even space to snuggle up in the bed if they're used to bunking up together at night. Our 7 year old female Yorkie is very dog-friendly and enjoys having company. She's a good playmate if your dog is up for a little tug on a toy or chase in the yard. She's also good at reading signs from dogs when they're done playing or want to be left alone. We would love to welcome you to our home for a meet and greet prior to booking to make sure everyone gets along.

Availability
For drop-in visits in your home, I am flexible throughout the week and have availability on weekdays and weekends. I am happy to come by anytime between 7 am and 10 pm. For doggy day care or boarding in my home, my office is 5 mins away from home. My partner works from home during the week and is glad to tag in to help with pet care as needed. I have my own vehicle and can easily travel to care for your pet in the Harrisonburg or Rockingham County area.
