Jessica is the best volunteer you could ask for at rover.com. Her love for animals and her dedication to their safety and wellbeing is unmatched. She truly sees them for who they are, complex creatures deserving of love and respect. She not only adopted a troubled dog and spoils him rotten with love and affection, she also has taken many shelter dogs in Pittsburgh on field trips to river trails and dog ice cream places. In the last month I believe it was 12 dogs she took on field trips! She completed the training that made it possible for her to take “pink dogs” (not-well behaved dogs) on walks and constantly stayed after her volunteer time when they were low on volunteers in order to ensure every dog got their daily walk. Jess works hard to make sure every dog finds a loving home, but works extra hard to ensure every dog in the shelter is loved in the mean time. When showing me pictures of the shelter dogs on her phone, she can tell me their favorite places to be pet, their least favorite areas to be touched, and their friendliness levels with dogs/cats/humans. Her memory for the details is extraordinary and I can think of no better person to join your team.
