Jessica has always loved animals. She walks our two labrador retrievers regularly, and although they can be a bit of a handful, she manages them both on leash and at the off-leash dog park. Whether it is our dogs or friends dogs, they all love to cuddle and play with Jessica, because she loves them and pays them such good attention.

Jessica H. has provided pet care for our family on numerous occasions over the past few years, including our two dogs, many fish, a snake and multiple lizards. She's conscientious, follows directions and enjoys engaging with the pets. I've also watched how she engages with her own two dogs. She understands the importance of routine, positive energy -- and treats. Loud and big / strong dogs don't phase her, as she has examples of both in her family's "pack." Jess has been a volunteer at the local humane society for several years. In addition to playing with the kitties, dogs and small animals (e.g., guinea pigs), she takes on the less glamourous tasks of cleaning cages and litter boxes. In terms of "customer service," Jess has been a leader in our local Youth Volunteer Corps, including finding community volunteer opportunities for the kids and supervising the volunteer work crews. She knows how to lead in a firm yet gentle and caring way. I see a lot of parallels between her ability to teach and supervise her teen charges and her ability to shepherd and care for other peoples' pets. I see her getting a lot of 5-star reviews on Rover.

Jessica was recommended to us by a neighbor who has known her for many years. Jessica took care of our sweet Daisy (10-year old yellow Lab) and our home while we were on vacation. Like most, we are rather picky about who cares for Daisy given her age and quirks. Jessica was tremendous. We always felt she was attentive to Daisy and gave her lots of love, excercise and companionship. Jessica sent photos of Daisy and update texts regularly so we didn't feel out of touch.
