I have grown up with dogs in my life since I can remember. In addition to pets, my father was a canine trainer for the Milwaukee Police department. I've always found that dogs feel comfortable around me. I am a naturally compassionate and caring person. Your dog will be in good hands with me. I have experience giving medication. I have an 8 and 9 year old, who are in school during the weekdays. We recently adopted a 2 year old Australian cattle dog (Blue Heeler)/ Australian Shepherd mix. He is a very sweet, well-behaved dog. He is non-confrentational with other dogs. He will say hello, then go about his business. I am able to separate our dog, during a boarding, if preferred. My children are extremely familiar with dogs. Grandparents have a large dog, and our neighbors have 3 dogs of all sizes. They are very gentle with dogs. I have always had dogs growing up, but when my kids came, they were my priority. I miss having a dog around. Now that my kids are older and have had lots of interactions with different types of dogs, I feel comfortable with the idea. I would treat your dog as my own. I've always been told that all animals sense my love for them, and they typically are comfortable with me, pretty quickly. I haven't met a dog that doesn't want to feel loved and scratched. Also, I am able to take on walks or exercise as often as needed. I have lots of walkways and parks nearby.
