Pet care experience
I have had/have pets of all kinds. I currently have 2 dogs, 2 cats, chickens and koi fish. I have fostered over 45 dogs in the last 4 years(including 4 pregnant moms and then their litters). I have extensive experience with puppies and seniors requiring specialized care. My cat of 21 years passed last year and she required subcutaneous fluids (and meds)every day for years. I now have a senior dog with Cushings disease and Dilated cardio myopathy. I have experience with most breeds and sizes (from 6 pounds to 120) I have NO breed restrictions! I also have experience with most farm animals(chickens, goats, horses, cows, llamas) and am able to do what I call "whole farm check ins" in the Healdsburg area. I have a seperate guest house/office for visiting pooches/critters. The property is 20 acres connecting to a nature preserve. I have space and experience with "packs" and can handle multiple dogs/animals from the same house hold in my home or yours(for drop ins)

Jesika was amazing! I was visiting a friend in healdsburg and we planned to go to a hot spring on Thanksgiving day but I had to leave my girl behind. Jesika popped over to check in, walk, feed, & play. My dog was tired when I got home even after being in her crate for a good portion of the day. Thanks Jesika !

If your dog is staying with me they will get at least two hikes a day(if they are active) I prefer to stick to your animals routine as much as possible(with boarding and drop ins) for their comfort and ease...so I always appreciate notes/info about feeding style, energy level, sleeping arrangements. If doing drop ins I am always conscious to hide a key properly and bring in mail on doorsteps.

General temperament is good to know. Is your pet high or low energy? Animal/people friendly? Ok in the car? For boarding= What is your animals schedule for food, potty breaks and all? Crate trained? Sleeps on pet bed, couch? Destructive if left alone? Are there any medical concerns or issues? Allergies? What is your animals ideal day? The more information I get on your pooch/kitty the better I can prepare and cater to your pets particular needs for the best possible visit. If boarding in my home please have your animal on a flea preventative. **If your dog is NOT potty trained (no matter their age) please be honest and book at the puppy rate**
A typical day
If your dog is staying with me there are trails to explore on my property. I love hiking! I also like to visit Lake Sonoma(Healdsburgs largest dog park, hiking, swimming). But if a short walk/potty break is all your dog is up for ...cuddling on the couch and settling with a chew toy is fine by me as well!

Availability
I have a fairly flexible schedule. I currently work part time away from my home between 12-5 a few days a week. I prefer late morning drop ins, but am also available for evenings if needed. I am available most holidays and weekends.
