Pet care experience
***July 4-5 & 14-30, 2025 I will not be available, but my sister will be staying at my house to take care of repeat clients only.*** About Me & My Home-Based Pet Care As a full-time, on-campus teacher, I have a structured weekday schedule starting August 4, 2025, which leaves me with plenty of availability on evenings, weekends, and all school holidays—including summer break—to care for your pets. Our home is family-oriented and pet-friendly. My daughters (ages 5, 14, and 17) are often around and love helping with visiting pups—meaning even more love and attention for your furry family member! We have a fully fenced, shaded backyard perfect for supervised playtime and fresh air. Experience & Special Care I’m experienced in administering both medications and injections (outside of my school work hours), and I’ve cared for senior and special-needs dogs, including those with paralysis. You can trust that your pet will be treated with patience and compassion. Important Note Regarding New Clients & Feeding Concerns Occasionally, first-time guests may experience hesitation around eating. This is completely normal. Everything is new to them, and they may be feeling unsure or overwhelmed. Imagine your dog thinking: “Where am I? Am I safe? What should I do? I’m scared.” To support them through this adjustment, I maintain a quiet, calm environment with a consistent routine. I never force a pet to eat or interact before they’re ready. Some dogs may skip meals for the first day or two—occasionally even longer. I’ll keep you updated throughout and can offer bone broth or mix-ins to encourage eating if needed. A Quick Note on Home Access Because of one child’s anxiety related to past trauma, we do not allow strangers inside our home. If your dog seems hesitant to enter, I may ask for your help getting them to the door. From there, I’ll give your pup space to explore between the door and a baby gate, allowing them time to decompress and get comfortable at their own pace.
Reviews

Loved having pics of my fur babies and great communication even across the world! Thank you for taking care of our babies

Very friendly and my dog was calm and relaxed when we got him. We’ll definitely ask her again to watch our Pepay.

Very kind, super responsive. Provided photos throughout the process!

Thanks, Jennifer, for watching our dogs and taking such good care of them while we took our vacation. They even came back smelling freshly bathed.

Safety, trust & environment
Your pet’s safety is a top priority. Our yard is fully enclosed with privacy fencing, and both gates are padlocked to prevent any escapes. Inside the home, there’s an additional 42-inch wall-mounted gate positioned about six feet back from the front door. Before anyone opens the front door, all family members are required to confirm that the space is clear of dogs, ensuring no one can slip out unexpectedly.

Information Jennifer M. would like to know about your pet
Please let me know if your dog has a tendency to dart out the front door when someone enters or exits. If so, I will take extra precautions to secure them safely before the door is opened. If your dog has anxiety—especially separation anxiety—please let me know in advance. Since I’m away during the school/workday (weekdays during the school year), it’s important that we discuss whether my home is the right fit for your pup’s needs during those longer stretches alone.
A typical day
We keep tennis balls ready for backyard games of fetch, and there are plenty of opportunities for squirrel watching—always a favorite! For dogs who enjoy water play, we have a misting system that can be turned on during warmer days, as well as a kiddie pool for supervised splash time.

Availability
During the school year (August 4, 2025 – May 28, 2026), dogs in my care receive potty breaks before and after the school day to accommodate my on-campus teaching schedule. On evenings, weekends, holidays, and throughout the summer, I’m home and available to provide bathroom breaks as frequently as needed, along with plenty of playtime, cuddles, and supervision.
