Animals are literally my life!
Pet care experience
I have owned my own animals since I was a child, and grew up around all kinds of animals on a farm. I have worked professionally with horses, and as a dog groomer and walker. I currently have one dog of my own who spends 24/7 with me, and we regularly train and compete in agility. I have owned my own dogs from beginning to end of life so I’m experienced in both puppy and senior care, and everything in between. I have an enhanced DBS certificate, and I am fully insured as both a dog walker and pet sitter. I also have an up to date accredited canine first aid certificate.
Reviews

Utterly brilliant dog walker and trainer, mouse loved Jen and Jen’s dog Nala. I trusted her and felt entirely comfortable. Jen even went to the effort to hire an enclosed field during the walking booking so Mouse could practice recall. I wouldn’t hesitate to book Jen again.

Excellent!! I wouldn’t hesitate to leave my dog with Jennie again. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Jennie was wonderful. The first time my puppy was left with someone, so I was obviously nervous. She took to Jennie instantly as she is kind and gently, but also knows how to control a young dog, very necessary with my pup! Will definitely be using Jennie again. Huge thank you x

Very lovely and and very reliable. Thanks Jennie!

I have a small yorkiepoo of my own, who is 18 months old. She’s a lovely, friendly little dog but she does get a bit overwhelmed by big dogs, so I can only accept small-medium ones to care for. I have a large crate if necessary…although that’s in the shed at the moment as my dog is on the sofa or bed with me! Whatever your dog’s routine is, I can follow it. If they’re used to sleeping in bed with a human, or in the same room, I can accommodate that. If it’s not belting it down with rain, I go walking for at least an hour per day, often in the woods at Stourhead or similar nearby spot. If it is raining then we still go out, but for shorter walks. I have a large lawn which dogs can use. I do have 2 cats (they are used to my dog and don’t seem bothered by other dogs coming over), but if your dog is a prolific cat botherer I may not be the sitter for you.

Information Jennie L. would like to know about your pet
If coming to my house for daycare, dogs must be good with cats and other dogs, as I have both. Happy to meet beforehand so you and your dog can meet me and my dog. If booking me as a house sitter and I am able to take my small dog along, great, but I know not every dog is happy with other dogs in their space and it’s not a problem for me to leave mine at home with my family.
A typical day
I like to provide a good balance of walks and other stimulating activities, like games in the garden, alongside relaxing downtime. My local area of Bruton has some lovely walks, but to mix it up I often drive to other places to keep things interesting.
