Hi, I'm Jen. For more than 10 years, I've volunteered with dogs (all sizes and personalities) at a large animal shelter--walking, playing, feeding, and loving them; cleaning their kennels; and doing other shelter tasks such as laundry. Additionally, for more than a year, I've been volunteering at a second, smaller shelter, this time caring for cats (giving them love, cleaning their cages, feeding them, and keeping the shelter clean). I also have experience providing in-home pet care (daytime walks and feeding as well as overnight stays). I have training in reading animal body language and providing fear-free care and handling. I strongly believe in using only positive reinforcement and correction. I'm currently employed as a college professor, and am on campus just two days a week. I don't currently have any animal companions of my own (my landlord's not an animal lover), but I'm looking forward to being best friend to your best friend(s) while you're away. I'm extremely responsible, dependable, and trustworthy. I'm also very quiet and clean, and am a non-smoker and non-partier. Please feel free to reach out with any questions.

Jen was awesome. Was very interested in knowing details about my dog's routine, and sent me regular updates, and lots of pictures :-) Also left me comprehensive feedback at end of stay, with some great insight, and behavior strrategies (he was adopted at the age of 10 ) I felt completely comfortable leaving my precious boy with her.
Jen was so great, she walked my dog twice and sent pictures and updates. Couldn’t ask for a better dog walker!
Any pet that has Jen as a sitter will be so loved and very well taken care of. You could not find a more loving person for your pet. Jen volunteers so much of her time to 2 local shelters and so she has experience with all types of pet personalities. Jen stayed with my dog who at that time had some separation anxiety. Jen went above and beyond in her care and comfort for our girl and we came home to a very happy tail wagging pup. I am very cautious as to who I would chose to sit for my pup, but I trust Jen 100%.
Jen is a very caring person who loves animals. She treats all animals she cares for like they are her own. Any dog would be extremely fortunate to have Jen as their caregiver!
