About Jeannie P.
Dog skills
Safety, trust & environment
I have a house that sits on over half an acre with a fenced in backyard that your dog will have full access to run wild and play in. I have my own dog (a large, energetic, but sweet labradoodle) that loves making new doggy friends and will also keep them company and play. I have plenty of toys for them to play with (that I clean regularly), including a Chuck-It that’s a crowd favorite. I have experience with providing medication and know CPR as well as the Heimlich Maneuver on dogs. In cooler months I tend to keep my back door open so my dog is free to go in and out as he pleases. In warmer months I let my dog out every 2-3 hours, and will do the same for your dog. I ensure dogs eat separately from each other just as a precaution as well.

Information Jeannie P. would like to know about your pet
Please let me know if your dog has a history of resource guarding so I can plan accordingly. Dogs eat separately regardless just to be safe, but I also like to provide treats and allow dogs to share toys.
A typical day
I’m up by 8am each day and immediately let my, and any dog I’m watching, into the backyard. We start the day playing fetch while I drink my coffee and wake up. I typically feed my dog around 9am, but can feed yours whenever you prefer. I’m a homebody and usually hang out on my couch with my laptop, snuggled up next to my dog. We go outside to play at least 3 times a day in the backyard. Dinner is around 7:30pm and evenings are spent cuddling on the couch with a movie. Last potty break is typically around 10pm and I provide a dental treat before bedtime.

Pets
I WFH, with a large fenced in yard!
Pet care experience
I have had pets my entire life, both cats and dogs, and have always viewed them as family. Your dog will be treated no differently than if they were my own. I have experience with teaching basic commands such as sit, down/lay, heel and stay if that’s something you’d be interested in.
