We welcome your dog as family!
*Exciting update! We have adopted a now (as of 10/14/23) 6 month old male pup who is great w/dogs!*I grew up with medium sized dogs and livestock and have enjoyed caring for our friends and family dogs over the last few years. Our family loves dogs! We helped train our roommate’s puppy her first year, while dog sitting during her full time job. I’m happy to accommodate your dogs known routines and expectations as much as possible. We enjoy having dogs be with us, inside or out, and can also give them plenty of time in our fenced backyard if that is their preference. We do share a fence with a neighbor doggie who is sometimes out. I am a Stay-at-home-homeschooling-mom, so I have plenty of flexibility to meet your dogs needs, be it affection, fetch, medication, walks, etc. Our kidd love to give doggies pets & play time, too! Your dog will be welcomed into our family interaction. We love to have dogs with us throughout the day, whether we are in the house or outside, and do have a fenced backyard. If I’m coming to your home, I will enter with gentleness and respect, offer attention & affection for your dog, and perform any requested tasks.

Programa
I do have errands and mom-taxi responsibilities at least a few times a week, so the ideal dog is comfortable with either waiting at home for an hour or two, or up for being along for the ride.

Pets are treated as a respected member of the family. I appreciate knowing what routines they are used to so we can try and replicate that as much as possible.

I’d love to give your dog lots of pets and attention and let them show off any tricks they know. They can get lots of exercise playing fetch in our backyard, taking walks to a nearby park or off leash area. Or just happily lounge around if that’s their preference! The main level of our home is hardwood, the basement & stairs are carpeted. I am willing to host multiple dogs, but will stick to one family at a time, so your dogs will not be competing for our attention. We can have a lively house and enjoy having neighbors and friends (often ages 6 and up!) stop by, some of whom occasionally drop by with their four legged family members. Ideally your pup is comfortable meeting new friends (especially children.) Please specify if there are any concerns. For any boarding requests, we are happy to have dogs that get along well with other dogs, as we want our door to always be open to our family & friends, but can accommodate if it’s a few days or less. I do prefer giving undivided attention to your dog(s) so anything different would be rare and certainly discussed. I look forward to meeting your dog!
