Avid Cat Lover!!

Cat care experience

Both my husband and I come from families of animal lovers! We own two cats of our own and absolutely adore them. I appreciate cats for what they are, they aren’t just pets they are individuals who each have different needs and desires. Whether your cat just wants me to feed them and give them space or wants to be held and loved on 24/7 we are extremely accommodating!!

Jane was, as always, amazing with our two dogs and two cats while we were away on a two-week vacation. Our largest dog had a minor accident and needed to be taken to the vet. Jane sprang into action and had her there immediately. She ensured that our pup received her medication daily and that her injuries were properly cared for. Everything went smoothly, and we were relieved to have Jane's experience and care for our animal family.

Jane and her husband are an amazing team! They take care of our fur babies just like we do! They always send plenty of pictures and updates. They always make sure the house is secured as well! I know when Jane and her husband are with our babies they are in the best care!

I can't say enough good things about Jane. Besides being caring, flexible, professional, easy to communicate with, and reliable, she went above and beyond to take care of my dog as her own. 10/10, would strongly recommend, would use her dog walking services again. Thank you so much Jane.

FOR DROP INS: I am super respectful of people's homes! I try to leave it as I found it, if not cleaner. I don't go wandering anywhere I do not need to and actually prefer to stay in the living room, kitchen, and backyard etc. I take time to build trust with your pets through treats, patience, and kindness. I can guarantee that in time they will be super happy to see me!! I also remain transparent by providing as many pictures as I can, sending detailed notes on the Rover Cards, and texting updates to you! I also am sure to ask any questions just to be thorough :) FOR BOARDING: I will NEVER EVER leave my dogs out with your dogs unsupervised; my dogs are kennel trained and will be put in their kennel whenever we leave. My cat also has her own room that I put her in when we are gone. Don’t worry though! When I’m at work my husband will stop by and help take care of the dogs during his two-hour lunch. So that being said the dogs generally are not left alone for more than 2 hours. During feeding I separate my dogs from yours just so the dogs don't feel pressure. My dogs are not food aggressive/territorial at all, but I do that as a precaution. I keep my house very clean and have already doggy proofed my house. My backyard is large, full fenced. I will NEVER put your dogs in the kennel, only mine. My house is animal proof, all foods, chemicals, and wires are put away for the safety of both our animals. The only time they will be put up is when I am babysitting for multiple clients. If this is the case they will be briefly put in their kennels for dinner time and take turns eating outside until everyone is done to be safe. The only other times would be when we both are at work and sleeping during bedtime. I much prefer to do meet and greets but if that is for some reason not possible, I can introduce them on my own with my husband. -- HOW I INTRODUCE THEM First off, if you have more than one dog, I would like to introduce them one at a time. I will do the same with mine. I do NOT like to introduce them face to face on a leash. It is dangerous for both our dogs. There are two methods, the easiest is let them sniff each other through a chain link fence for a while then after about 10-15 minutes if they seem relaxed/calm we can let them interact. The second method is to have one dog walk in front of mine at a distance and slowly over time close the gap till they can walk side by side without reacting. This should take about 20 minutes to properly do. I just like to be safe and careful. I'd rather prevent any situation that could put both our babies at risk. Secondly if your dog is okay with cats, I will have them meet Whiskers. I could put the cat in the kennel and let them sniff each other or let your dog sniff my cat's butt or let them sniff each other through under a door. DO NOT put your dog's face in my cats! Please! Even if they are sweet to cats. I have had people do this even when my cat is hissing, and I have had to pick her up because it scares her. Please do not do this I don't want my cat to feel like she has to defend herself and if she does, make your dog feel like they have to defend themselves from her. Whiskers will give your dog all the space it could need and slowly warms up to them in her own time.

Information Jane V. would like to know about your pet

PLEASE answer these questions! This is very important that I know this. Is your dog vaccinated/vetted? Are they on preventative flea meds & heart worm medication? Can you provide their vet information in their profile should their be any need? Are they reactive? Do they nip at all? Is your dog food aggressive/territorial at all? Do they try to run out the front door? Any health issues? What's their feeding and potty schedule? Are you comfortable with them being potentially being alone for around 2-3 hours a day? Do you allow them on furniture? Anything important you would like me to know? I know this may seem personal but it is absolutely imperative that your dogs are vaccinated or at least starting if puppies as well as on preventative medication. This is because I may visiting more than one dog from different owners at a time and I need to be safe and thorough. It’s my job to keep your babies safe!

A typical day

FOR DROP-INS: First, I walk in and happily greet your pups!! Then I take them potty or clean up after them. Afterwards, I will play with them, walk them, work on tricks (if they know any), or pet on them! All while keeping you updated. Then I feed them their meal, Im super careful to avoid any chance at bloating. I often talk to the pets like they are gonna talk back lol. But I feel like it helps them feel a little less lonely! FOR BOARDING: As I own a working breed, I am accustomed to mentally and physically stimulating my dogs. I have a ton of toys in and outside the house . I even have a tug toy that hangs over the branch for your dog to jump and catch. If it's warm outside I have a kiddie pool that I fill with water and sometimes some ice cubes depending on the weather. Inside I always have some Dog TV playing since I don't watch TV. I also have a puzzle toy for dogs. I love to play and snuggle all the dogs I watch so i guarantee they will leave being happy and fulfilled. If your dog likes to walk, I can walk them around my neighborhood. It's very quiet and calm and a little down the road is a small lake that they can sniff around and enjoy! Of course, if your dog prefers the company of another dog Juno has that covered! She can play for HOURS and loves to chase and run around. She's helped a couple dogs not be so scared of the water by climbing into the kiddie pool, they usually end up copying her.

SCHEDULE My job is only 8 minutes away from my house and I work typically Wednesday-Friday from the 3:00-11:30 PM depending on customers). It is much slower during the holidays due to slow season. I usually have a lot of days off so I will most likely be home to give your babies all my attention and care. If it works for you, it works for me. On days I have to take care of a pet(s) I will come before my shift in the morning, then once right before, and when I get off I will stop by and take care of them :)
