Your dog's second home!
Pet care experience
Hey there, fellow dog lovers! I’m Jamie, and I’ve been a dog enthusiast for over 20 years. I take more than one dog or pet at a time, so that means there's always a couple dogs at my house. I grew up with a Sharpei-ChowChow mix and we did everything together. Dogs are family and I am here on Rover to continue my passion for animals and to welcome them into my home. My two awesome kids, ages 11 and 8, are my little dog loving crew. They’re experts at fetch, belly rubs, and keeping pups entertained, and they can’t wait to shower your dog with attention. We’ve got a big, beautiful backyard that is spacious, secure, and complete with a covered porch for shady naps or sunny playtime. If your pup wants to chase toys or sniff every corner, it’s the perfect spot for them to have a blast! We spend a lot of time playing outside as long as the weather lets us. I do take more than one dog at a time and have many regulars clients who come every month. I’ve cared for all kinds of dogs; Puppies figuring out the world, sweet seniors over 14 years old, and few blind dogs, deaf dogs, and dogs with mobility issues. I am comfortable giving medicine and will keep you updated. I took several dog training classes in my teens and I am great at finding little tricks to help with behavior quirks and make anxious dogs feel more at ease. I really love taking photos and videos of your pup’s adventures. let me know how often you’d like updates, and I’ll keep you in the loop. For safety, we have oversized, furniture-style crates if needed for mealtimes, puppies, or to stop any escape artists from bolting out the front door. My goal is to keep them happy and comfy however they like it best. I’m super flexible with pick-up and drop-off times to work with your schedule. I might step out for 3-5 hours during the day for errands or Scout activities with my kids, but your pup will be loved and looked after here. I can’t wait to meet you and your four-legged buddy!

I have a fenced yard and a large covered patio for dogs to run, play, and soak up some fresh air. Inside, pets hang out in the dining room area. I have oversized furniture style crates available for occasional use to keep dogs safe from bolting out of the front door or during meal times. We always feed pets separately, and I have a separate potty space out front for dogs with special needs or behavioral needs that do better with a quieter space. Many of my regulars sleep on the couch or in the bed with me, some pets sleep in crates and some sleep on a dog bed on the floor. let me know what your pet is accustomed to.

Information Jamie M. would like to know about your pet
Please share with me how your pet gets along with other dogs and kids, as my home is a family friendly space with me, my two kids (Ages 11 and 8) and my regular dog clients. I'd also like to know if they prefer to sleep in a crate, on a dog bed or maybe on the couch or in the bed like some of my regulars! I take more than one dog at a time, and often have a few dogs at my home. My regulars play well and get along great here! Please let me know about any medications, special needs, food sensitivities, or quirky behaviors so I can know what to expect. What are your dog’s favorite ways to play—do they love chasing balls, romping in the yard, or something else? And how do they like to get their exercise? Finally, I’m happy to send you photos and videos while you are away, just let me know how often! Once a day, twice a day, ect
A typical day
In the early morning the pets go potty in the backyard and enjoy the fresh air. We often throw a ball and encourage them to get out the zoomies! A little bit later is breakfast and then they play outside or relax inside for a few hours. I am typically on zoom meetings or going to visit a drop in client. Lunchtime they get treats, maybe a walk around the neighborhood, and then they are playing outside or inside depending on the heat or weather. Evening time is playing with kids, pet friends, in the backyard or inside. Dinnertime and then winding down for quiet sleep time once the sun goes down. Everything depends on the weather and the needs of the pets. Just let me know what your pet needs!

Availability
I work full-time but primarily from home. During the middle of the day I am on zoom calls for work, and I provide drop in visits for other clients. I am away for 30 minutes to 1 hour for drop in visits. Occasionally I go into my office for a few hours which is just 3 miles away. My two children are active in Boy Scouts of America, with meetings every Tuesday evening. During Tuesday evenings (6:30 to 10:00pm or typically 3-5 hours), I may be away from home. I also participate in local community service projects on occasional weekends, where I am out of the house for maybe 3-5 hours total I am pretty flexible on pick up and drop off times, just communicate and let me know what you are planning
