Hi! I’m Jalen, and I’m a lifelong animal lover who truly enjoys spending time with pets of all kinds. Caring for animals has always been a big part of my life, and Rover gives me the opportunity to do something I genuinely love while helping pet owners have peace of mind. I grew up around animals and have experience caring for dogs, cats, birds, rabbits, guinea pigs, hamsters, bearded dragons, and even a chameleon. Whether your pet loves long walks, playtime, cuddles, or simply sticking to their daily routine, I’ll make sure they feel safe, loved, and well cared for while you’re away. I’m reliable, attentive, and understand that every pet has their own personality and needs. I take the time to follow your instructions closely, provide regular updates and photos, and treat every pet as if they were my own. As a teacher with breaks, weekends, and school holidays available, I have flexibility in my schedule and can often accommodate last-minute requests. I pride myself on being responsive, dependable, and making the entire process as easy and stress-free as possible. I can’t wait to meet you and your furry (or feathered or scaly!) family member!

I am a very cautious person. When taking dogs outside, I can put them on a leash if needed unless the yard is fenced, then I would stay outside with them.
Ratings and reviews
Jalen was available last minute to house sit our cats, which we truly appreciated in a pinch. Our cats seemed well-fed, and we were happy with Jalen's help on that front. Areas for Improvement: * Communication: We would have liked more frequent updates about our cats, including specific information on their day and photos. * Following Instructions: We requested specific feeding times and the sitter's presence during certain hours, and there were instances where these weren't followed. * Home Care: While the house was generally tidy upon our return, there were a few minor cleaning oversights (cat hairball in hallway, cat feces stuck to floor, chip crumbs on the couch, etc.). Overall, Jalen's responsiveness in a last-minute situation when our previous sitter canceled was valuable. With clearer communication and a bit more attention to detail, this could have been an excellent experience.

Jalen was great; we only got around to booking her just before we were taking off and she was very flexible in making the arrangements. Her love of animals is obvious and she is extremely conscientious in her care of them; very pleased!
Jalen was great. Our baby had a great time with her and she was extremely accommodating with our pickup time as our flight had been delayed. We will definitely use Jalen again.
Jalen was great with our dogs and was in constant contact with us.
Jalen was a lifesaver as I needed a sitter last minute to watch my dog! Very professional and caring with Honeybee, I have a happy tired pupper from her day of play and I will definitely be using Jalen again in the future!
