Pet care experience
I have had two dogs throughout my childhood and primarily took care of our second one for about 10 years. I am a business owner and have a very flexible schedule throughout the day and evening. I started dog sitting for my cleaning clients (when I used to clean houses) so I have experience with many different types of dogs. I love dogs and they bring me joy. I like to stay active and love being outside so taking dogs on a walk is really fun for me. I understand the value that dogs bring to people and the love an owner has for their dog so I take very good care of each and every dog and treat them as if they were my own. I also respect and take care of the home as well so you can trust me with your dog and your house.

This is our second time having Jacqueline take care of our pets. She is great with our older dog, Cruz, and is willing to adapt his walks to his needs. She also checked in on our cats, making sure they got some attention and had plenty of food. Jacque is our go-to Rover sitter when we need to be out of town!
Our pup Luna enjoys her walks with Jacqueline. Jacqueline has been such a help given my wife's arthritis and when I have to travel, it gives me comfort knowing that Jacqueline is there to walk our dog. I can't recommend her highly enough.

I do not have any pets of my own and I do not board but when I am at the clients home I make sure the doors are always locked, I follow the instructions left by the client and listen to what the pets needs are. If a client/pet will not comfortable (with anything), I do not proceed. I am mindful of my surroundings on walks making sure we are not too close to there dogs, people or cars. I clean up after the pet if they throw up or make a mess. I make sure the house is secured as well, I know owners want to come back to a house still standing.

I like to know if they are a good walker. Do they have leash aggression, do they pull, is their harness or leash easy to put on. How are the dogs with other people and dogs? Can we go to the dog park and are they good in the car?
A typical day
I love to go on walks with dogs. If the owner and dog are up for it, I like to go to dog parks to let them run! It is fun when we can bring a favorite toy of theirs to play fetch. Cuddle time is always fun too!

Availability
I work a split shift so I have the middle of the day available to check in on the the animals. My shifts are usually no longer than 5 hours so I'm not away from the animals too long.
