learn and play...but for dogs
Pet care experience
Before Rover, I worked at Training Wheels LLC in Broomfield, CO, where we specialized in boarding and training fearful and reactive dogs. I'm an educator at heart and have been in the field for over a decade. I've worked with people of all ages, from Pre-K to adults, in a variety of environments- special education, outdoor education, and public education. I love witnessing the learning process in any species and found reward-based training through training my parrot, Forrest. I enjoy teaching humans and dogs, especially when it can lead to a more successful relationship. I also work as an adjunct professor at a local junior college and volunteer at Humane Colorado (formerly known as Dumb Friends League) as a dog walker. I am a KPA-CPT graduate, a professional dog training certification program that teaches the science behind dog training using force-free methods. I would love to build a relationship with your dog through walks, play, and different training games that build their confidence while teaching them good manners. I work with dogs of all breeds, ages, and personalities, but gaining the trust of a fearful or reactive dog holds a special place in my heart.
Reviews
Jacqueline is truly incredible—I can't recommend them enough. My dog Cleo can be a handful: she's reactive and very sensitive to her environment/noises. Jax is reliable, compassionate, and patient with her. She took the time to understand Cleo's needs, plans ahead to avoid environments with potential triggers, and always responds with empathy and care. I have already recommended Jax to many of my friends!
About Jacqueline E.
Skills
Safety, trust & environment
I am open to discussing what makes the client feel most comfortable when entering their home and engaging with their dogs. Dogs are family. I am also open to sending video and picture updates from our walks.
Information Jacqueline E. would like to know about your pet
Let me know if your pup has any special needs, diet, or behaviors to consider. I love building confidence and resilience in dogs, so fearful and reactive dog owners are encouraged to reach out!
A typical day
Sniffaris are my favorite type of walks to provide the pups in my care. I love working on training games that produce functional behaviors for owners to implement in their daily lives. Every pup is different. Whatever the preferred activity is for the dog, I am open to participating, except maybe peeing on random things outside.

Dog training is my (almost) full-time job. I am also an adjunct professor at Arapahoe Community College. While I am not taking clients on Rover, I take personal clients to help people bond with their dogs and train functional behaviors for their daily lives.
