I'm currently working full-time (9am-5pm, Monday-Friday) and I'm happy to take bookings for walks/drop-ins on weekday evenings and dog sitting at your home on weekends. Unfortunately, I'm still renting my place and pets are not allowed so cannot offer to host your furry friend.

I completely understand how nerve wracking it can be when leaving your beloved pet in a "stranger's" care. Please rest assured that I will treat your dog as it is my own and will ensure they are content in my care. Expect me to ask many questions about your pet's preferences and needs when we first meet and will follow your instructions at all times. I would also give you frequent updates and send you pictures of your pet while it is with me. I'm comfortable looking after any dog age, whether they like a leisurely stroll or a big run to burn off all that energy. I'm also happy to help with puppy care and help introducing them to the big wild world. However, I don't offer any professional pet care skills yet so if you're looking for a premium service it would be best to look elsewhere.

I love a good balance of mental and physical stimulation. For walkies, I would borrow the most favourite toys, bottle of water, some treats, bring doggie bags and a fully-charged phone to keep in touch with the owner. I'd usually keep the dog on a lead close to me (allowing them to smell things or greet other dogs passing by if it's safe) while we get to a more secure place further away from main roads where I would let it explore the surroundings more freely. In case permission was granted, this could involve letting it off the lead; depending on the dog's interests - playing fetch, chase or jogging/cycling with it if excercise is what we're aiming for. For trips requiring a drive, I'd do a short walk first to allow them to wee/poop before jumping into the car. For higher-energy dogs, some play of fetch is what I would also do to get some of the energy out. If the dog loves swimming and the owner is happy to, I would let them jump into the river or the water at the beach and then dry them with a towel to avoid catching a cold.

Loving your dog as my own.

Hi, I'm Iren, a 28-year old animal lover who is currently working as an engineer and here's why I'd be a great choice to look after the furry member(s) of your family! My love for animals started at an early age, talking my parents into letting me have (at different times) a guinea pig, fish, parrots and a pygmy hedgehog. However, dogs have always been out of the question as my mum is allergic and it's a dream of mine to get one (or five) when my partner and I have a place of our own. I have voluntarily spent many hours walking and taking care of friends', neighbours' and even colleagues' dogs for as long as I can remember, and I have a broad experience in walking, feeding, cuddling and playing with dogs of different breeds, sizes, ages and personalities. I find it fascinating how different dogs are and I will take the time and effort to build a relationship with your pet, getting to know its personal traits, habits and respecting its boundaries. Since moving to Taunton 3 years ago, I have been ptoviding dog walking and dog sitting services on Rover and I already know all the popular places around the area as well as secret spots where they sell the best doggie ice cream. I'm also more than happy for your dog to jump into my car (with your permission) for a longer journey outside of town, like the beach for example.

Thank you for sitting with Bruce, he loves you!

2nd time Iren has dog sat for my 3 dogs, excellent dog sitter which means I can enjoy my holiday without worrying about my dogs 😁

Iren house sat my 4 dogs ? Amazing care and very happy dogs. Thank you Iren

Iren is a trustworthy and caring sitter. She was very easy to contact throughout and sent me regular updates, where my boys looked like they were having the best time. My dog and cat were very content when I got home too. I would definitely recommend and book Iren again. Such a lovely person too! Thank you!
