Dogs know if you are a Dog-Lover!
Pet care experience
I hail from England - the Brits love their dogs! Loving dogs for 56 years, I have raised and trained my own dogs, and currently have two. I have trained two of them to CGC (Canine Good Citizen) level. I have had the pleasure of working as a volunteer in the past at the Seeing Eye. For the last decade I have been self employed, breeding English Goldens and Goldendoodles. We have litters twice a year, and while those times are busy for me, I have plenty of time to walk and care for dogs (and cats!) between litters. I believe in the value of training young puppies to set them up with structure and expectations for our world, and can help you maintain your training during my visits. Safety for any dog or cat I care for is of the utmost importance to me. It is what I would want for my own dogs. I am very aware of dogs staying on leash and away from potential dangers. And of course lots of loving and play - because they need the interaction during the day while they are missing you. Let's arrange a playdate! I have had a couple of cats in the past also, and love their sense of independence. They need love and interaction too, so let me know if you have a cat that needs a lap and a purr-buddy. If your pets prefer to be at home while you are away for a few days, I can visit regularly and take care of them, water plants, put lights on and get the mail in. I have years of medical training and experience, and as a breeder I am experienced in medication administration if your pets have any needs.
Reviews

Helen was incredible and I would absolutely recommend her for anyone with a slightly people-shy dog. Khan is a rescue and after their first meeting we could tell they were going to be a great fit. She asked great questions and was incredibly professional!
Dogs have always been part of our family. Splash, who lives with us now, and his 2 predecessors came to us through Helen. Her love and care of dogs was obvious when I met her in 2016 at Britannia Farms where she was breeding golden retrievers and golden doodles. All the dogs I met there were happy, healthy and well mannered. Helen managed them all with gentle assurance. She recently cared for Splash and his 2 brothers (each over 90 pounds) with no problem, again, with gentle assurance. Helen can read a dog’s personality, figure out what each needs in the moment and respond appropriately. I love to see her with dogs, hers or other people’s, they all love her.
Helen has taken care of my dog for many years now and I am always impressed with her down to earth and common sense approach.
Helen is beyond amazing—trustworthy, reliable, kind, and organized. She cares for animals as if they were her own, and that is a good thing as she is a fabulous doggo mom to her own gang. I cannot highly recommend her enough. She is a great person to have in your life.

A typical day
Does your dog love playing fetch in the yard? Hide and seek? Or would they prefer a leash walk close to home with familiar landmarks and sniff spots? I have many near by trails/walks that I take my dogs on that are safe and interesting. If your dog just needs a potty break in the yard and would prefer spending the rest of the time playing or being petted in the house, that is fine too.
