Pet care experience

Home from home day care & boarding.

I am licenced & insured. With over 10 years of hands-on experience caring for dogs, I offer a true home-from-home environment where your dog will be treated like one of the family. I’ve raised two litters of puppies with our dog Indie so I understand the care, patience, and attention they need at every stage. We’re lucky to have fantastic woodland and open green space right out of our back gate perfect for safe, enriching walks and plenty of outdoor time. Also a safe enclosed garden if your dog prefers pottering about! Whether your dog loves exploring, playing, or simply relaxing, they’ll feel happy, secure, and well cared for here. Specialising in boarding smaller dogs means your dog gets care that’s truly tailored to their size, temperament, and needs.

I couldn’t be happier with the care my dog received. H was kind, reliable, and treated my dog like part of the family, lovely walks, lots of cuddles with all the family and their dog indie is the perfect furry companion. The updates gave me real peace of mind, and I came home to a very happy pup. Highly recommend!

Very pleased with the care that Helen took to look after my cats for a few days. I had regular contact from Helen to say that cats were fed and if she had seen them . Definitely 5 stars! 🐱

Helen was great with our cat, sending us daily updates without prompting. She also offered additional help such as taking the bins out. Thank you!

Schedule

Caring for dogs fits naturally into my daily routine. I’m already at home throughout the day, so your dog will have plenty of company, supervision, and attention rather than being left alone for long periods. Our home is full of life, routine, and warmth, which helps dogs settle in quickly and feel part of the family. School runs, walks, and time spent outdoors mean regular exercise and stimulation, while quieter moments at home allow for rest, cuddles, and calm time.

Safety, trust & environment

I provide a safe and carefully managed home environment for small dogs, where their comfort and wellbeing always come first. I have a friendly, well-socialised Cocker Spaniel who is used to being around other dogs and offers gentle companionship, helping visiting dogs feel more relaxed and settled. I only take a small number of dogs at a time and ensure they are well matched in size and temperament. Introductions are always done slowly and calmly, and I supervise interactions to make sure everyone feels safe and comfortable. If needed, I can easily separate spaces within the home to give dogs their own quiet area as well as providing crates if your dog is used to having a crate in their day to day life. Our secure, fully fenced garden provides a safe space for outdoor play and fresh air, and we’re lucky to have lovely walks nearby for as much or less exercise required!! For extra peace of mind, The Hampshire Vet is less than five minutes away, ensuring quick access to professional care in the unlikely event of an emergency. I am DBS checked.

Pets

A typical day

Dogs wake up in a homely family environment, a comfortable bed in a cosy designated dog room. Morning routines are unhurried, with plenty of affection, reassurance, and a chance for each dog to settle into the day at their own pace. Breakfast time according to each dog’s usual schedule and dietary needs, just as their owners would at home. Then it’s time for the first walk of the day, outings are tailored to suit their size, age, and energy levels. There’s time for sniffing, exploring, and gentle socialisation, always with close supervision and safety as a priority. Back at home dogs may play together with toys, while others prefer a quiet nap in a sunny spot. I will pay close attention to each dog’s personality—whether they’re playful, shy, or somewhere in between. Throughout the day, there’s constant human presence, rest assured that your pets are never left alone for long periods. In the afternoon, there will be another walk & some playtime, Updates are shared with owners—photos, videos, or messages—so you can see your dog happy and settled, which provides huge peace of mind. Evenings are calm and comforting. Dinner is served according to routine, followed by quiet time—perhaps cuddling on the sofa, light grooming, or simply relaxing together. Dogs are treated like part of the household. At night, each dog settles into their usual sleeping arrangement as closely as possible to what they’re used to at home. The environment remains peaceful, safe, and warm.

If your dog has special needs or medication administered please let me know. I will only look after smaller sized dogs. Dogs need to be friendly, sociable, and comfortable around other small dogs and people. As this is a home environment, I can only accept dogs that are non-aggressive and able to relax in a shared space. A short meet and greet, sometimes a trial stay is required before any booking is confirmed. This allows me to make sure your dog feels comfortable in my home and gets along well with us all.
