Pet care experience
I have looked after pets since age 16. I first was asked to babysit a family first dog Buster overnight at 16 which opened my heart to my love of animals. I looked after small pets like fish in the beginning and as over time, after showing I was a reliable pet owner I was able to purchase my first hamster Thomas aged 16. I independently looked after him, taking him for vet visits and researching the best standards of care for small animals. Around this time I was also trusted with looking after a family friends Springer Spaniel, Bella, taking her for walks regularly and providing her company. After 3 years Thomas passed away however I still felt the love in my heart to have an animal of my own so I decided to adopt my teddy bear hamster Mowgli who after three years is still going strong! In the past 7 months I have also welcomed a bengal kitten, Fin, into my home who I love whole heartedly and is being well looked after in his forever home!

Heather-Ruth is such a polite and sweet lady. She was wonderful with our dog and us. She made sure everyone was happy and comfortable and our anxious dog feel safe with her. I couldn't imagine anyone doing a better job.
This is the second time we have had Heather come and look after our cats and we always know that they are in safe hands with her. She is so caring and the cats are well loved whilst we are away. Heather was absolutely phenomenal! She went above and beyond to look after my beautiful cats, and kept me posted with photos and updates to put my mind at ease. I can tell that the cats were very well looked after whilst I was gone. I'd absolutely enlist her services again!
Heather-Ruth is a wonderful pet sitter. My pug, Peggy, is currently struggling with the some weight issues and I worry about leaving responsibilities onto others. Heather-Ruth listened carefully to my feeding instructions and assured me that Peggy would receive proper daily exercise. After returning from my weekend away, I was delighted to hear about Peggy’s outdoor adventures. Heather-Ruth is so loving and I could tell Peggy enjoyed her company. I’m so glad I met a reliable, responsible sitter.

Having a pet of my own I will ensure that safety is of the upmost priority. As every pet varies I will explicitly stick to the recommendations of the owner on how they would like their pet to be cared for. I am more than happy to do leash-only walks and stay in a areas with low/ no traffic if you would like your animal to run around. I will diligently close areas off that you have identified are not safe to pets and respect you and your home in keeping them out of any areas you would not lie them to be in.

Please let me know if there are any behaviours the your dog typically shows and what we can use to reduce them if they are negative, If you have had a pup that has experienced any sort of trauma and has any triggers like loud noises etc please let me know and I will be mindful of this on our walks.
A typical day
I think it super important to make sure that does have a fun an active day. We can play outdoors going on long walks and enjoyinging the fresh air. We can play games and I am sure to try an find a nice green area to roam around. I would love to bring your dogs favourite toy to maximise their fun!

I am currently working part-time agency meaning I have flexibility and can typically fit my schedule around the needs of the pets. With any fixed arrangements I will inform pet owners straight away to see how we can adapt this to make sure your pet is well looked after,
