Hi there, I’m Heather! I’m a lifelong animal lover with 10 years of experience training future seeing eye dogs and volunteering at shelters, where I worked with dogs and cats of all ages, abilities, needs, and sizes. I treat animal-care as a job-alongside-my-job: I’m always more than happy to schedule a walk or drop in for the early mornings, during lunch breaks, evenings, or nights- whenever suits you. A little about me: I currently work for Imperial College (in operations), was a secondary school teacher for a few years after completing my bachelor’s and master’s, and will be starting my PhD in English Literature in a few months. I’m also an avid runner and would love to take your dog out for a run if he/she is energetic and looking for some good exercise! I look forward to meeting you and your furry friend! I’m currently working part time, so I’ll have plenty of time to play with your dogs! I work a shift schedule and am often available early mornings, at midday for a lunchtime walk, or for an evening stroll! I believe that all dogs deserve heartfelt and compassionate care, and I strive to provide safe and comfortable environments for all animals in my care, whether on a walk or when visiting at home.

Heather looked after our old doggy Gigi during 6 days. It's always stressful to let our dog to another person since she's 15 years old and has several medical issues. Heather was brilliant ☀️, she gave Gigi her daily medication, took her out for walks and spent some quality time with her! We received some news and photos on WhatsApp everyday which is quite reassuring 🙌

Just brilliant! Heather looked after our cats at the weekend - one of the cat needs medication every 12 hours and Heather has been great with it! She shared photos and the cats really like her!

I am currently a PhD student in my final year of the course. I’m writing my dissertation and work from home daily, so I have plenty of flexibility to care for your dog and get him/her outside for multiple walks per day!

I have a large fenced garden which is a lovely space for dogs and cats to roam and enjoy. My flat itself is a very spacious two bedroom - your pet is very welcome to join us in the bedroom at night or to have the spare room as a space for themselves - whatever would make them most comfortable. We are a 3 minute walk from clapham common and I absolutely love taking dogs for long walks in the park!
A typical day
I would love to explore parks and trails with your dog. I love to run, both short and long distance, and could run with your dog if he or she has a lot of energy to use up! If your dog is more relaxed, I'd also be happy to take him or her to a nice grassy area and spend a day outside.
