Pet care experience
I have always been an extreme animal lover! I care for pets of all sizes, shapes, and origins - whether it's your kitty, pup, bird or reptile, I love them all! I have 2 kids, who adore animals and have been raised to defend, love, be gentle and respectful, and caring. My husband is the pet whisperer. They all love him, even the ones we hear who "dislike men" wind up loving Mike! We have our own large dogs that we rescued who are super sweet lover girls and enjoy meeting new friends. They're used to having other pups and cats over. We have cats, bearded dragons, and turtles as well....and I'm proud of every single one 🥰 We do have a very large and spoiled sulcata tortoise (95 lbs) and, yes, your kids can come feed him ha. And, no, he does not eat meat - all vegetarian, your pups are totally safe!
Reviews

Heather and her entire family were great with our dog, Oakley! Heather made our first experience comforting with consistent communication and updates. Oakley enjoyed making friends with the family pets as well. We are happy to hear Oakley is welcomed back! We will see you again late September. 😊

This was our first time ever using a doggy sitter and Heather was amazing! Milo was definitely scared at drop off, but didn’t take long to warm up to her at all. We got updates throughout the day on how Milo was doing which helped us relax more. She is very understanding about dog behaviors and takes the time and patience needed to set your dog and you at ease. We will definitely use her again if we’re ever in the area again.

We’ve used Heather twice now and couldn’t be happier with the care she provides! She sends daily updates with photos, which gives us peace of mind while we’re away. Our dogs always look like they’re having a blast—she’s even had them playing in the sprinkler and doggie pool, which they absolutely love! It’s clear Heather genuinely cares about the dogs she watches. We will continue to send our pups to her every time we travel. Highly recommend!

Heather and her family were great! We really felt at ease with the updates and photos Heather shared. I could tell Reya was given lots of love and attention.

We have a pet home and a HUUUUGE backyard (hardcore fenced, 8-9', Fort Knox-like). Our pets are our family and are allowed on furniture and in the backyard whenever they want. You could say we spoil them but they deserve it. We live across the street from Yorba Regional Park so lots of fun and adventurous walks around us. If you'd like me to watch your pets in your home, that's fine too. I just can't stay the night. You tell me their routine and I'll keep that up.

Information Heather B. would like to know about your pet
1. FYI: I do have extra 48" kennels on hand. So if you'd like your pup to be kenneled at night, please let us know. They can use ours so you don't have to lug one over. 2. Food - how much, when, what type, etc? Do Not worry about bringing bowls unless they are special slow feed ones. We have disposable ones. 3. Any anxiousness? If so, no worries. I have plenty of experience with anxious animals, just want to be prepped. Anxiousness happens to us all. It is ok and we are happy to be patient and work with them. 4. Can they have treats and bones? We do not use rawhide but we do have chews, bones and such. I do roast homemade bones too. 5. Any allergies? Bring whatever meds are needed! 6. TOYS - We have PLENTY of toys, a clothes basket full. Of course, if you want, bring your pups favs but, be warned, they do get heavily played with and dirty, sometimes destroyed. 7. Do we leave the pups outside at night? Heck NO! Would you leave your kids outside at night by themselves? No way! Sorry I get heated on this subject.
A typical day
I want to make your furbabies stay with my family as comfortable, and least stressful, as possible. We try to give our pups and pup guests enrichment activities, such as the local dog park, walks around Yorba Regional and our local neighborhoods, backyard water sprinklers, fetch games, treat scavenger hunts, rope tugowar, and most love our pup pool when it's hot out. Please let me know your preferences and what your pup(s) would enjoy and dislike. Hot Days: We do keep our backyard open for potty breaks and exploration, freely. However, when it's too hot outside, I keep all pets inside in the ac - out only for potty breaks. I am very cognizant of hot pavement and their lil paws. We have a grassy backyard which is easier on them vs. walking them around the neighborhood and burning their paws. When it cools down in the evening, I'm happy to walk them then for their safety. We also take them, on their last day of boarding, for a pupcup treat field trip which they all love and, on repeat visits, await longingly.
