Puppy Whisperer
Pet care experience
Hello! I am an actor with a love of all canines and felines. I grew up with three dogs (yes, at the same time), all rescues of various sizes, and spent many a summer and winter caring for them as well as other dogs and a few cats. I have experience with timid dogs, hyper ones, large, small, medium, and even the ones who think they are human. I also have experience with hospice care for the elderly pups, and for what to do with your teething puppy. I can walk, feed, and play with your dog or cat companion during the day while you are gone or stay with them overnight in their own environment. We would spend time getting to know each other by doing a calm activity (I am an active reader) and I like talking to the animals while I am in their company. Next, if it's a dog, we go on a walk, at least 30 minutes or more depending on the dog's temperament, health, and the weather. When we get home, if the dog is up for it, we play with whatever toys they like, or we relax and I talk to them some more.

Reviews

Hannah’s been great with my old lady

Hannah did an amazing job. She provided frequent updates which helped to alleviate a lot of stress.

Hannah was great with Pumbaa during our last minute walk request. She was very responsive, flexible and took Pumbaa on a great walk with a variety of exercise for him. Highly recommend and we will be using her again!

Hannah was amazing with Ponyboy! She came for a wonderful meet and greet and I felt so comfortable leaving my precious boy with her. I came back from work to a happy, healthy, worn out puppy who clearly received a lot of love and attention during the visit. Even my misbehaving and stuck front door was given a lot of grace during the visit! Would absolutely book Hannah again! Thank you!

I try to have a meet-and-greet with the client present, if possible, before I enter a client's home. I want to make sure the animal is comfortable with me, and that I can see with my own eyes what the routine is for whatever service I am doing. I also like to ask if there are any health things that I should know about. Once the job has started, I make sure that the animal is okay, check for anything that might ring an alarm (such as vomit or an accident), and then begin the routine. I like to send lots of photos and messages to clients when I am on the job, mostly because I know that is what I would want!
Information Hannah N. would like to know about your pet
I prefer to know what their temperament is like, especially if they have any fears or anxieties I should be aware of. I had three dogs with high anxiety levels and understand that certain situations or behaviors can trigger an emotional response from a dog. I have no breed preferences. I love pit bulls and raised two of them, both of whom came from abused backgrounds and became the loving family-centric dogs I know them to be. I also like to know if the animal has any health issues I should pay attention to, any areas they prefer to avoid, and any habits you are working on with them that I can help enforce.
A typical day
I love walking around neighborhoods and enjoying being outside when I am with a dog. If there is a park nearby, we go there. Otherwise, I have no set plans! It all depends on what the dog likes and what they feel up for. As for cats, it depends on their personality. Some cats are very friendly and curious, so we play! Or, if they are more low-key or skittish, I will sit in one place and read, sit quietly, or talk to them. Again, totally depends on what they prefer. It's also possible that I get in, scoop litter or feed them, and then leave if they are uncomfortable having me there.

Availability
I currently work part-time from home with flexible hours, so I am flexible with when I can come by. If anything comes up with work, I will prioritize the animal since that is more important to me.
