I’ve been caring for animals for years, and I’ve always been the person who ends up making friends with the animals wherever I go. I even worked as a nature center aide for a while, so not much surprises me anymore! I really enjoy getting to know each pet’s individual personality and figuring out what makes them comfortable and happy. Some pets want to play until they’re exhausted, some want all the attention they can get, and some need me to give them a little space and let them come to me. I’m happy to work with all of them. I’m also a certified dog trainer, so I’m comfortable working with puppies, high-energy dogs, and dogs who are still learning their manners. I use positive reinforcement and I’m always happy to reinforce the things you’re already working on at home. I’m also comfortable slowing things down for senior pets or anyone who needs a little extra patience. Basically, I’m the auntie who is going to ask you a million questions about your pet because I want to know all their little quirks. I want them to be excited to see me, but I also want them to feel safe and comfortable while you’re away. And yes, I will absolutely give them all the head rubs, belly rubs, and butt scratches they’ll let me get away with ☺️ I do require a meet-and-greet before confirming any new bookings. Meet-and-greets must be completed at least 24 hours before the first visit so I have time to meet you and your pets, go over their routine and care needs, and make sure everyone is comfortable. Because of this, I’m unable to accommodate same-day meet-and-greets or last-minute first visits.
