Pet care experience
Raised with cats at my mom’s house and a dog at my dad’s, I’m a natural at taking good care of furry friends. My affection for animals has resurfaced lately, thanks to a roommate with a new kitty and close friends generous enough to share their dog snuggles with me! I'm not in a place to have a pet of my own right now, but I want more animals in my life :) Down for outside time, tug of war, teaching tricks, staring contests, you name it.

Hannah, Gus (8yr old canine), and i met for the first time today for introductions and a walk. Hannah covered more of her background with animal care. She asked about Gus’s demeanor, health, and habits. Hannah called out some missing info on my Rover profile - a touch of professionalism that was appreciated. Gus took to her easily, accepting pets and treats. First meeting was such a success, that will be booking time again shortly. Thanks Hannah!

Hannah was great with our large, shy Doberman puppy! we got lots of pictures and she made sure to give him lots of attention and the exercise he required as an energetic boy! Our house was also spotless when we came home. Bonus points, as we were having trouble with our flights home, she was willing to help us coordinate some extended care just in case, which was a huge relief if we had needed it.

My roommate's cat has several health issues, so we love and enjoy him gently. I'm pretty in-tune to treating pets according to their temperament. In your home, I'll pick that up from interacting with your pets and through your input of course.

Please give a heads up if your pet has high energy when interacting with strangers or other animals outside, and if your pet has any issues with biting or house training. I trust you’ll let me know about any health concerns/medications, triggers, important no-nos, etc. as well.
A typical day
If you’re seeing my profile, we’re likely neighbors! I’d love to walk, hike, run, or chill with your pup in my favorite local parks (Mountain Lake Park, Presidio, Rossi, GGP, fairy gate) and learn your faves too. In need of a frisbee thrower? I’m your girl. Lake Street, Arguello, and Cole Valley have some lovely dog-walking areas as well.

Availability
I'm transitioning jobs (and maybe even careers!) at the moment and currently have lots of time for connection with pets. With a good fit and at least a few days' notice, I can likely care for your dog(s) or cat(s) for as long as you need. Ideally, especially for bigger dogs, we can work out a time for your pup and I to get acquainted beforehand so I’m not a stranger.
