I have worked with local vet clinics, at animal shelters, and as a dog groomer. I have three dogs of my own, three goats, one sheep, as well as six cats and a plethora of chickens. Pet care is something I have done full-time for many years, starting part-time when I was in college and continuing now in my adult life. I can’t imagine a life without animals.

I do not currently offer boarding services in my home, but I am approved by the state of Iowa to offer dog grooming in my home salon. However, I do care for pets in your home like they are my own pets. I give them as much love as they’d like so they don’t feel lonely. But I also know how to attend dogs who aren’t overly affectionate and like their space. I am very good at reading dog body language, personality traits, and what they like and dislike. Working at a vet clinic, animal shelter, and doing dog grooming, has given me insight about how to accommodate all animals and meet them where they’re at.

A typical day
I love to meet your pet where they’re at. Whether that is high activity like running in the yard, playing fetch or tug of war, low energy like getting lots of cuddles. I can honor the playing (or sleeping) style of any animal.

I am willing to go the extra mile to make sure your pets feel loved and cared for until you come back. With background experience as a veterinary technician, pet sitter, and dog groomer, I am well versed in consent-based cooperative care. I pride myself on providing a fear-free and relaxed environment for all animals.
