I have had 2 cats for nearly my whole life until I unfortunately lost my last one a few months ago. They both lived to be over 17 years old so I know how to give pets a long, happy, healthy life. I have been a pet sitter for a few friends over the years, with periods from a few hours, to a few days, to a few weeks. I am very attuned to the needs of animals and am aware of the differences between cats and dogs. I always aspire to have a safe and comfortable environment for the pet, always allowing them to smell me and get comfortable with me before trying to fully bond, for example.
