My schedule has recently opened up, giving me a completely free and flexible routine. I’m available throughout the week and can easily adapt my days around the needs of the pets in my care. This means I can offer regular visits, longer stays, daytime care, and holiday care without being restricted by a fixed work schedule. My priority is making sure each pet receives plenty of attention, companionship and care.

Whether caring for pets in my home or visiting them in their own home, I focus on keeping their routine as familiar and comfortable as possible. I take the time to understand each pet’s individual personality, feeding schedule, exercise needs and habits, and adapt my care accordingly. I’m happy to provide feeding, walks, playtime, enrichment, grooming, companionship and general supervision, as well as extra attentive care for young, senior or special-needs animals. I’m also comfortable caring for a wide variety of animals, including cats, dogs, birds, reptiles and other small or exotic pets. Above all, I aim to make pets feel safe, relaxed and loved while their owners are away, while keeping their normal routine as consistent as possible.

Pet care experience
Animals have been a part of my life for as long as I can remember. I grew up on a farm in South Africa surrounded by dogs, horses, cats, birds, reptiles and all kinds of wonderful creatures, and spent much of my childhood learning from and shadowing game rangers. My experience extends far beyond traditional pet sitting. I founded wildlife rehabilitation centres in Cape Town, South Africa, and Kilmarnock, Virginia, where we cared for both wild animals and domestic pets. I’ve also volunteered at ARCAS Wildlife Sanctuary in Guatemala and have regularly cared for friends’ and neighbours’ pets over the years; from dogs and cats to birds, reptiles, horses and everything in between. I’m comfortable caring for animals of different ages, temperaments and needs, including young animals, seniors and those requiring extra patience or attentive care. I’m particularly attentive to each animal’s individual personality and routine, and I genuinely enjoy getting to know what makes each one feel safe, happy and comfortable. Animal care is not simply a side interest for me; it’s a huge part of my life and career. I’m currently studying to become a field guide and ranger, with my future centred around wildlife conservation. Whether your companion has fur, feathers, scales or hooves, I’ll treat them with patience, affection and the same level of care I would give my own.

Georgia has had a genuine passion for animals her entire life and has always been known as the “animal whisperer” in our family. Growing up, we had dogs, cats, birds, fish, and even lizards, and Georgia was wonderful with every one of them. Her compassion for animals went far beyond our own pets. She was the child rescuing geese from our swimming pool, rehabilitating a cardinal that had fallen from its nest, and caring for an injured baby bunny. She has always had a remarkable ability to make animals feel safe and comfortable around her. Georgia genuinely takes the time to understand animals, their behavior, and their individual needs, and has spent years reading and educating herself about them simply because she loves them. One of my favorite memories is of her lying in a field surrounded by horses, completely content just reading a book among them. As her father, I have watched Georgia care for animals with an extraordinary amount of patience, gentleness, responsibility, and love throughout her entire life. I would trust her wholeheartedly with any animal, and I know she would treat someone else’s beloved pet with the same care and affection she has always given our own.
