I booked daycare for June 24-26. The first day itself went okay, but I only received one photo update for the entire day despite being told I’d receive lots of pictures. The biggest issue happened on June 25. I arrived for drop-off at the scheduled time, texted, called multiple times, and rang the doorbell with no response. After waiting with no communication, I had to take my puppy back home because I couldn’t leave him without knowing someone was there. I contacted Rover Support, and they also attempted to reach the sitter by phone, email, and Rover messages but were unable to get a response. Because the sitter remained unresponsive, Rover issued a full refund for the booking. The sitter later apologized and said she had overslept, but by that point I had already missed my scheduled daycare and had to make other arrangements. I appreciate the apology, but reliability and communication are extremely important when trusting someone with your pet. Unfortunately, this experience did not meet my expectations.
