Genevieve was just what we needed to make sure our doggie had what she needed when we headed out for a half day excursion in the area. Genevieve stopped by - walked her, played with her, and broke up the time Angel was in the hotel room. The Best Friends Roadhouse was the absolute best place for us to stay with our pet. Meet the Business Owner I lived in beautiful southern Utah with my wonderful husband Ron, who is retired from being the beloved Volunteer Coordinator & Horse Care Giver at Horse Haven at Best Friends Animal Sanctuary. We are the loving parents of a tightly-knit family of 2 rescued Bernese Mt Dogs & 2 rescued Californian rabbits (and our rainbow bridge kids, 4 dogs, 4 cats, 2 bunnies & 1 horse), all of whom are super affectionate, funny, intelligent & totally bonded. We are a pack! I was a vet tech at Best Friends for 2.5 years in the Clinic in treatments and surgeries, as well as the visiting vet tech for the Rabbit Dept. I was also the vet tech for 2 years at the leading house call practice in NYC. I run my 24-year voice over business from my professional home studio. 'Ron and Genevieve' performed music weekly at concerts and events and for the thousands of international tourists who come to southern Utah. I have owned & run my pet sitting service since 2007 to care for family's beloved pets in their humans' absence, with a huge heart, giving both animals & their families peace of mind!

A typical day
I customize my time with my client's beloved animal kids to the individual's needs, from feeding meals and snacks and fresh water, to playing and walking, to snuggling and lounging, to medical administration - whatever the individual animal needs are, I fully cater to them! I care for your animals in your home, vacation rental, hotel room, or RV. I can offer drop-in visits from 30 minutes each on up to full-day stays. I can even provide overnights at your place if I am allowed to bring my own dog, our neutered male, vaccinated, healthy, 75 pound Bernese Mt Dog, Charlie, who is super friendly and loves all dogs, cats and rabbits, so there's a built-in playmate! On occasion, I am able to provide day care in our home where we have a fully fenced, large, xeriscaped yard and doggy door at our home. For all dogs, I love to walk, hike, play and snuggle with my dog pals in our home or yours or your vacation spot! I love on and play with my kitty, rabbit, goat, pig, donkey and horse friends at your place! And for all species, whatever your individual beloved animal needs and likes, I cater to him/her specifically. They have my full, undivided attention. If your dog likes car rides, I love to take my dog pals to some favorite places around the area!

History I have been a lifelong animal lover and animal welfare advocate, growing up in New York City in a family of animal lovers, being a 'sister' to my kitties and hamsters, and being a neighborhood dog walker from the age of 12. As an adult, I have been a proud and loving mom to rabbits, cats, dogs and a horse. I earned my post-baccalaureate degree in Animal Science/Pre-Veterinary Medicine with a 3.9 GPA. I worked for 5 years as a core volunteer member of Rabbit, Rescue and Rehab, the NYC Chapter of the House Rabbit Society, facilitating adoptions, educating the public on rabbit husbandry, and fostering over 10 medical needs rabbits. I worked as the sole veterinary technician for NYC's top-ranking house call veterinary practice, Village House Call Vet, and helped to build the business with owner and veterinarian, Dr. Carolyn Quagliata, in the first 2 years of its inception and was the pet sitter for many of our clients throughout NYC. I then became the very first intern in the new 4-Month Intern Program in Cat World at Best Friends Animal Sanctuary, the largest domestic animal sanctuary in the country, in Kanab, Utah, followed by earning the position of veterinary technician at the Clinic and visiting vet tech for the Rabbit Department for 2.5 years. I have owned and run Genevieve's Animal Care from 2007 onward to care for family's beloved pets in their humans' absence with a huge heart and peace of mind for all!
