We are fortunate to live in a property with a large fenced rear garden. There are many fields and beautiful walks to explore right on our doorstep. We have a resident bunny at home who stays in his rabbit hutch in the garden.

Welcoming furry friends to come for their holiday
Pet care experience
I have been pet sitting for the last 5 years. The aim is to enable myself and 2 children aged 19 and 18 to have dogs to come and stay with us for their holidays whilst their owners are away(children are always supervised when in the presence of dogs). We start with an initial visit where we all meet and discuss the needs of the dog and owner and if happy to proceed book dates and have a primary visit (if required) with the dog staying for a few hours or a day to allow them to get used to us and the new surroundings so it's no surprise to them when they come for their holiday. We take them for regular walks, days out as well as sometimes visiting family members. We try to keep their routine the same as at home so meal times, walks, bed times etc are the same as at home with lots of playing, attention, walks and cuddles involved. Photos are taken along with regular contact and updates. These are sent to the owners to enable them see their beloved dogs having fun on their holidays too. I also possess a Level 5 certificate in Animal care. Here is a link available for a limited time for £15 off https://www.rover.com/sit/gemmaj30652

Reviews

Gemma was so comforting and reassuring for us, and Kerry had a great time staying with her.

Gemma looked after my dog so well, helping her feel comfortable for the time we were away

Gemma and her son have really helped my dog this week. She was so anxious because she’s never been away from home before. They sent me photos and videos during the week and regular updates. This really is home from home.. whatever your dog is used to, Gemma will replicate in her home. I will 100% be asking her to look after my dog in the future.. thank you guys xx

Gemma and her son are lovely and felt very at ease leaving Luna to stay with them. Booked again for the summer too xx
