Hello! my name is Gayle and I look forward to meeting you all🐾 I own a Garden level townhome no stairs,no other pets,no children, drugs, smoking drinking dating or drama.. safe and cozy be it ever so humble a home away from home with small backyard playing/running area Completely privacy fenced no holes for escape! And I'm always out with the dogs anyway, small dog park across the driveway. I value animals safety Above All Else. When you're seeking someone,a loving companion your fur babies will be content with while your away you've found her. I love being a homebody these days and providing an alternative to boarding in facilities. Or in the absence of your regular sitter / family member and very much enjoy the company and loving energy the animals give me in return. I have cared for animals most my life from chameleons, cats and even a squirrel monkey I had as a child to fish ferrets, feathers and furry's. I have ample time and energy to devote to their needs (Special requests encouraged). Acquired certification for CPR/FIRST AID/AED through vet tech courses in 2007 and 2015. Massage school graduate(Phx '91), apply my skills to your canine/feline/equine/bovine! friends. Once the live in caretaker on a horse ranch in Prescott Arizona for 2 years . Chickens roosters rabbits geldings, mares foals and parrots. Enjoyed position as live-in Caretaker of a 7 acre Sanctuary Farm in Palisade Colorado February through Sep 2019. I cared for pigs, goats alpacas peacocks, guineas, fish, multiple dogs and cats while helping run the Airbnb on-site unique cabins. I was sad to leave. the animals and I were so attached to each other. When tourist wine season was over I purchased my own home to offer my services for individual caretaking boarding animal daycare petsitting occasional house-sitting... I have"MOM" smarts, lots of on the job training and a capable support team here at Rover.com. My home is happy and the Animals think so too!. I'm the girl at the gatherings most animals seem to gravitate to, (and vice versa!) I have felt a close bond with animals since my first memories as a child. My dogs starting @ 5 were dachshund ,German Shepards(mama and babies) loved having a couple of police dog retirees, American Staffordshire Terriors, pit bulls(we were members UKC) I worked/lived on a Greyhound dog compound in Avondale Arizona in 1981 I traveled with the "team" to Agua Caliente in Mexico (I am anti dog racing! Due to this horrific practice & treatment of the dogs and my Insider knowledge) I cared for poodles great danes, boxers, many mixed breeds strays & abandoned ones. I was that kid who was going to grow up and save all the lost, suffering animals in the world. It was a good dream...Onward! lots of room to run and play and breathe fresh air ! I'm a 5 yr local gym member and friend to Catcare and Roice Hurst animal shelters. Our beloved family dog has crossed over the Rainbow bridge after nearly 15 joyfull yrs together.Kids n critters are my passion (grateful grandmother of my own 3 Little Critters! ) I understand how important worry free getaways are whether last minute emergency situations(heaven forbid) or simply so you can "recharge" yourselves and return an even happier pet parent knowing your babies are content. My home space includes a small park just steps outside the door allowing for extra space and exercise & adventure.. I've Administered shots to puppies, assisted and observed my "dog whisperer" brother. On many occasions, I've managed pain and hospice care animals when their time came,as well as my own beloved lab/rotty mix. (I could not find anyone to help me during this time and was the catalyst reason I started this service thru Rover . I am the first Rover sitter in the Grand Valley beginning in December 2014) I am trained in administering medicine/ vitamins the old fashioned way with gentle quick jaw release or blended in meals. Whichever you prefer Home away from home in a no stress household. Like being at Grandma's house. If they like to lay by the kitchen and watch me cook knowing they are going to get a little treat so be it! Completely fenced and secure side yard with backyard for extra play. Comfy front porch for shaded naps. Safe sidewalks and grassy areas for fun exercise

Gayle was wonderful! She cared for our dog and cat like they were her own, sending photos, giving updates, and showing them extra love. So kind, reliable, and genuinely caring. We felt completely at ease while we were away!

Doggy Day Care • Sep 19, 2023

We were in the area for a wine festival and dropped our dog off for the day. Gayle took great care of her and was very accommodating to our early pickup. Our dog had plenty of room to roam and things to sniff, and she even got a brushing and doggie hip massage. Thanks, Gayle!

She is very sweet and kind to our pups. Definitely puts then first when she is with them. She also surprised us by doing our dishes, which in no way did we ask her to do, but are very grateful for! Definitely our pups new Nana! She was also quickly accepted by our pup Syrup, who usually takes a very long time and a few visits to like someone, so we were impressed! We highly recommend her❤️
