Retired dog mum with plenty of love to go round❤️
My first experience of dog owning was welcoming senior( aged 15) boy Cracker into our family when my mum passed away. He showed me the pure joy having a dog in the family brings. When he passed away aged 17, i decided I couldn’t be without a dog and rescued a 2 year old, Brie, from the local dog rescue. As a senior dog she developed dementia and other conditions which affected her balance and coordination but she still loved a wee stroll round the park across from my house. I learned that there is something very special about caring for a senior dog. Brie passed away aged 15 by which time I had retired and I had always said wI would raise a pup. Luna my flat coated cockapoo joined our family aged 12 weeks and the joy she has brought me is difficult to put into words. She LOVES to play fetch, spending time wrestling with her best friend( my daughter’s golden retriever )Tiger, is so good with other dogs but also loves to cuddle up on the sofa or watch the fire in the winter. Loves trips to the beach and has enjoyed a couple of staycations. Also loves chilling in the back garden or playing in her sand pit or paddling pool… with a ball of course.

Gail was fantastic with looking after our Cavachon, Maisie for some daycare and we felt very reassured leaving her, along with lovely Luna the Cockapoo! Gail (aka mum) is one of the most caring, loving and committed dog owners you could ask for. She regularly dogsits for my gorgeous golden retriever, Tiger, and it brings me so much comfort knowing he’s in good, safe hands if I’m ever away…and Luna is the best playmate for him while he’s there! He always comes back a very tired and happy boy. Your dog will be treated like one of the family if she’s watching them, which is all you can hope for! X

Schedule
As stated above, I was fortunately able to retire aged 55 so have plenty of time on my hands. My day( and life) revolves around Luna. She has a 45-60 minutes in the morning and the same in the evening with an afternoon game or five of fetch at the park mid afternoon. I mix our walks up between the big playing fields a short walk from our home, the beach and a short car journey to other playing fields/ long grass/ muddy puddle areas that are her favourites. Luna sleeps with me and I wouldn’t treat your pet any differently if that is what they are used to. Luna is a very sociably girl and would love another dog to spend some time with.

I have an enclosed garden with doggy sand pit and paddling pool and safe home environment for your dog to spend the full time with me and my own pet.

A typical day
We will enjoy a mixture of walks nearby as well as by a short journey in the car.plenty of variety for good sniffing opportunities. Always a good run around the park on the corner of the cul de sac, mid afternoon with a ball and time in the garden when it’s not too hot or too wet in addition to this. Variety of toys to play with and cuddles to be had.
