ABOUT ME My name is Gabriella and I am relatively new to Kentucky. Originally from San Diego, CA. I've always been an animal lover and began pet setting for family & friends when I was about 13 years old — nearly 20 years ago! I finally rescued my very own dog (Yeti) in 2024. We spend a lot of time at the dog park, hanging out in the backyard, and exploring nearby trails. ABOUT YETI Proudly adopted from Kentucky Humane Society in Louisville. Yeti is a 1.5 year old Great Pyrenees/German Shepherd mix. He is incredibly friendly to all dogs & humans and is great at sharing his toys. Given how he interacted with his four legged friends at the dog parks, I quickly learned that he plays well with all sizes, ages, and breeds. We have now hosted several dogs (for a week or long weekend) and we both love having the extra energy around the house!

We loved Gabriella and Yeti!! We went over for a meet and greet earlier in the week so Remy could see the space and meet Yeti. I felt comfortable leaving Remy from that initial experience. Gabriella asked questions about Remy, her habits, and things we were / weren’t comfortable with so she had a good understanding of Remy for the weekend ahead. While she had Remy, she sent updates and pictures everyday. We will definitely book with Gabriella and Yeti in the future! Thanks again!!

MY HOME I live in a single family home with a fully fenced backyard where Yeti likes to lay in the sun and chew on sticks. Inside the home is fairly minimal (aside from the dog toys everywhere) so we don’t have any fragile decor or household items that could be harmful to pets. Our neighborhood is very quiet with sidewalks and a nearby park & golf course, which is ideal for our daily walks.

A typical day
OUR TYPICAL DAY We are regulars at the dog parks (Beckley Creek & Tom Sawyer), so with your permission ahead of time, I will happily include your pup in those adventures! We also have safe walking areas within our community that we frequent. Most importantly, we have a fully fenced backyard and a basket of toys just waiting to be played with.

Availability
MY SCHEDULE It's wide open! I work from home full-time as a cybersecurity consultant and also volunteer for the Humane Society periodically. My preference would be to host your pup in my home or provide drop in visits. I’m a homebody so when I do host a pup at my house, I am home with them the whole time. I do also enjoy drop in visits because it forces me to get out and go for a walk. I’m not on Rover for the money, I do it because I genuinely enjoy it.
