Full Time In-Home Daycare/Kennel
Pet care experience
I’ve grown up with animals around my whole life and I’ve always loved helping others by dog walking or dog sitting. In 2020, due to the pandemic I lost my engineering job less than 2 years after graduating college. I had just bought my house and nobody was hiring so to make mortgage payments I started working through Instacart and Rover. I loved my work with Rover so much, I decided to dedicate the next few years of my life to starting my own daycare. My mom to this day runs a childrens daycare out of the home I grew up in, so I felt like I was familiar enough with the day to day ins and outs of the business that it would be enough to get me going. For the last 2 and a half years, I have spent the majority of my time fully converting my garage into a boarding kennel/play area, and building a strong clientele base. I threw away a 5 year engineering to watch dogs for a living and if given the chance I would do the exact same thing all over again because I absolutely love what I do. Your dogs will have an absolute blast here. I work from home so between 7am and 5pm I am there to care for and monitor the dogs. Since this is what I do full time, I'm able to give them my full attention. The times listed about are also about when I feed them breakfast and dinner, and between about 10-11pm they'll be put in an appropriately sized crate for bedtime and I usually put on a movie for them to fall asleep to. I have just about every accomodation at my home that your dog could need here. I have fully converted my garage to a heated kennel with padded flooring, crates with beds for all sized dogs, clean water available at all times, and an arsenal of toys. The kennel leads to the backyard which is about 2000 square feet, fully fenced in, and covered with about a 6" layer of woodchips.

Reviews

Fritz was timely with his responses and on pick-up and drop off. Patch and Tessa came home happy and healthy. I would have enjoyed getting updates, but he said that would happen through Instagram and that wasn’t working for me.

Fritz was great. Rocky seemed very happy and exhausted!!!

Fritz was accommodating and flexible with my last minute request on a holiday weekend. From the looks of it, my Lacy and Cuffs had a busy couple days! They're zonked out 🤪

I really appreciated Fritz's flexibility watching Frankie at such last minute, especially on a holiday weekend. Frankie returned home happy, and we'd definitely return again! Thanks!

Information Fritz K. would like to know about your pet
If they have any history of reactivity and aggression, or if they have any special needs like medication. I don't require parents to leave much other than food and medication, but if requested I have no problem accepting toys, blankets, beds, crates etc. if you feel it may be necessary to ease your dogs anxiety. Since I board up to 8 dogs at a time, I do need them to be crated at night for safety so crate trained dogs would be preferred. I do occasionally use soft muzzles for dogs who bark late into the night to not disturb the neighbors after hours, but it’s not something I commonly do. I usually give the dogs some time to get comfortable before it gets to that point.
A typical day
I'm with the dogs throughout the day so if they aren't playing fetch, or tug with me, they're most likely doing it with the other dogs if they aren't napping. Your dog will get plenty of exercise, and come home ready to sleep for a day or 2.

My kennel hours are between 7:30am to 5:30 Monday through Friday. Drop off/pick up times can be flexible but are preferred not to be. Weekends I am only available from 12pm to 2pm on Saturdays for clients to reserve some semblance of personal family time. These hours are not negotiable, if you plan on picking a dog up on a weekend day but aren’t able to make it by 2pm Saturday, they would have to stay until the following Monday Morning.
