My whole life has been about animals, from dog sitting for my neighbor at age 11 to managing a pet store at age 18. I've worked with a variety of animals including arachnids, fish, reptiles, amphibians, small mammals, a pig, and of course cats and dogs. I worked at at a mom and pop pet store from my late teens to my early 20's. While I was there, I helped overhaul the animal husbandry system, introduce care sheets, provide healthy diets, and basic medical care such as nail trims and administering medication for a variety of species. Exotics truly became my passion here. From there, I moved to a veterinary clinic where I worked as a veterinary assistant. I am skilled in dog and cat behavior, and I can provide basic compassionate care as well as preparing special diets, administering medication, and taking special considerations for each pets individual needs. I spent over a year at a private breeding facility where I was hired in as a frog keeper. Eventually, I switched gears and began building the commissary department, where I provided food for the majority of their vertebrate animals. I rised hundreds of dart froglets from tadpole to frog. I am currently employed at a local veterinary clinic, where I help treat patients of all kinds, from cat and dog to alpaca and pig. I have been so fortunate to work with such a variety of animals. Dogs and cats have a special place in my heart, but I have plenty of love to give all of the animals I care for.
