Leave your dog in good paws
I am an avid pet lover and have had 3 dogs and 1 cat of my own at my house including 1 dog right now who I primarily cared for for 6 years when I was at my house before this past school year. I did everything to take care of my current dog, such as: bathe, walk, feed, brush her teeth, play outside, go to the park, etc. I am no longer living at home though and am at an apartment in Storrs so my mom has taken these roles as I left, but I am looking to hopefully join the team at Rover and be able to interact and take care of dogs and all pets that are asked of me if I am to be hired. Dogs have always held a special place in my heart and everyone I know knows me as the person who is absolutely in love with any and all dogs. Dogs are my passion, but I love all animals and have dealt with cats plenty as well. I had a family cat in my house growing up for about 10 years and would change the litter box and feed him. He did not need much else as he was an outdoorsy cat and enjoyed that lifestyle. I also have helped take care of 2 cats that my dad has at his house throughout my high school years. I have had experience with all types of dogs among all sizes, and I helped raise two dogs(german shepherd and yellow lab) with my girlfriend as well.

If I am outside walking a pet such as a dog primarily I keep them on the leash and make sure they are close to my side if I am walking past another dog, I bring bags with me to clean up if they have to go to the bathroom during our walk of course. In the home I make sure there are no plants that could be toxic if ingested by a pet in reach or put away. I make sure the pet is always in sight if I am instructed to be caring for them, I make sure no electrical wires or cords are just lying around for them to chew or trip on. I would follow any instructions left by the owner such as when to feed their pets, how often they would like them to be taken to walk, and would take them outside to use the bathroom whenever needed of course.

Ethan was the most reliable and responsible dog walker I’ve ever had! He sent a pic every day walking my dude… even went out of his way to fill his water bowl! I’d highly recommend to anyone!

Programa
I am currently not employed anywhere as I just finished the spring semester at UCONN and I'm now looking for a job for the summer into the fall. I have unlimited time now in which I am hoping to be able to work for Rover walking dogs or house sitting for pets.
