Pet Pro: Shy/Anxious/Energetic ❤️🐾

Pet care experience

Since I began working in animal care in NYC in 2017, I specialize in nurturing shy, anxious, or high-energy pets and smoothly managing multi-pet households. I prioritize clear communication, sending regular updates so you’re never left wondering. I'll ensure your fuzzy buddies are all taken care of through my skills in training, positive reinforcement and regimen management. Your pets feel safe, happy, and loved while you’re away. Plus, they get all the free snuggles (or preferred personal space) they want!

Erin has been helping out with my inside cat “meatball” and a number of outside stray cats that I feed for a few years now. Meaty is 14 years old and not the most friendly girl but she just loves Erin! A soon as Erin arrives, she runs up to her looking for cuddles and scratches. Erin comes several times a day, makes sure to spend some time with meaty and makes sure all of the outside girls are fed and taken care of! The litter box is always tended to and the house is neat when I come home! She sends pictures of meaty and her antics while I am away. I am never worried about my girl when Erin is in charge. Erin has also helped out several friends of mine, taking care of their dogs. In fact, I met Erin through a recommendation from a friend! I highly recommend Erin. She is great with both dogs and cats! Is reliable and friendly and truly cares about the pets she is caring for.

Safety, trust & environment

My goal is to make sure your mind is at ease while you do whatever you need to do! I always review a pet's needs with my clients before I begin services, ensuring we cover all the bases and expectations for them before you leave them in my care. I can administer medication and shots and know basic animal first-aid. Respecting schedules and house rules is an important part of my services, as well as being attentive and present to their needs and behavior. I worked with animals for 3 years in the noisy and busy NYC, so I am well-versed in assorted behaviors, socialization and getting a thunder-shirts on some anxious buddies. I can read your animals well and meet them where they're at, putting their comfort and safety at the top of my list at all times. **IMPORTANT SERVICE INFO** - I provided one recap per walk, and up to 3 updates per day. At least one photo per recap/update. - My non-emergency communication hours are 7am-11pm. - For personal safety, my walking curfew is 10pm. During visits, I can let them outside until 11pm if you have a private yard. - Unless approved otherwise, I respond to all messages ASAP, but no more 30 minutes during my hours. - I have a safe car for emergencies or trips to dog-parks. Please provide any preferred safety equipment your buddy needs and I'll happily use it. (I have a safety attachment so they can enjoy the ride with the window down.) - For my personaI safety, I do not enter or stay in unlocked homes. (No broken windows or locks, unlocked entrances, etc.) If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to ask! I'm very flexible and reasonable :)

Information Erin O. would like to know about your pet

**HELP ME HELP YOU** Please remember to provide all the following info possible for all walks, visits and stays: 1.) Vet/animal hospital information (I will not accept clients without this) 2.) Any dietary restrictions/allergies? 3.) Is your pet scared of anything? 4.) Have any special tips, tricks or quirks I should know about? 5.) Do you have any special communication requests? 6.) Any home security notes? (Sticky locks, codes, etc.) 7.) Are there any behavioral issues? (Please be forthcoming, I do not judge! I have experience with a wide variety of behaviors and can work with your animal, but I can't do my best if I don't know what you do, nor can I confirm that I can provide them all the necessary care. This is very important for the safety of your pet, myself and others. If you do not disclose this information, it may result in the services being terminated, and that's just the worst for everyone.)

A typical day

I meet your animals where they're at. Some like lots of attention, stimulation and play time, while others prefer their personal space and let you know when they want to hang out (I'm looking at you, kitties). Whatever their emotional or physical needs, I'm there to happily provide it. Besides, animals make happy, so you can rest assured that they're getting plenty of love while you're away! For house-sitting: I may need to leave the house from time to time, as I work part-time (4 hours on Tue/Wed/Sat) in Asbury Park. I will work this around your pet's schedule. Any times I need to leave for more than two hours will be communicated to you prior to your trip. I never leave for more than 6 hours. No matter what my day looks like with your fuzzy love one, I'll make sure you get an adorable picture of it so you don't feel the FOMO so much.
