Calm patient lover of dogs

Pet care experience

I’m a former Saint Bernard owner, and while my beloved pup passed away two years ago, I’m not quite ready for another dog of my own just yet. However, I would love the opportunity to help care for yours. In addition to my experience as a dog owner, I’ve fostered three different dogs for a local organization and have been a reliable dog sitter for many of my friends. At age seven, my dog Dempsey was diagnosed with cancer in his back left leg. The treatment options we chose gave him an expected lifespan of just 10 to 18 months. However, with dedicated care, Dempsey defied the odds and lived nearly three years — just one month shy of that milestone. On top of his cancer diagnosis, Dempsey also began experiencing seizures a few months after surgery. Managing his care required administering medications three to four times a day, which became a crucial part of my daily routine. I share this with you to highlight the level of care and dedication I put into ensuring Dempsey’s well-being. That same level of commitment and compassion is what I bring to caring for any dog entrusted to me. Whether your pup needs extra attention, special care, or just some love and playtime, I’m here to help provide peace of mind while you’re away. I also regularly create and share videos of the pets I care for on social media, I can’t share links here, but if you search for ericduany2809 on YouTube, Or therealrealrico on TikTok, you can find my videos.

Eric is communicative, kind, and was great at making sure I was comfortable having my dog with another one. A total dog pro! Thanks!

We absolutely love Eric! We've taken our pup, a 1-year-old German Shepherd, to him a few times and have it scheduled for her to be there once a week every week. She absolutely loves it, going for walks and playing with one or two other dogs all day while we're at work. We've always picked up a happy, tuckered, fulfilled dog at the end of the day, so what more can you ask for? Eric is also incredibly responsible and perceptive. He watches his dogs very carefully and will do anything to make sure everyone has the safest and most fun day possible. He takes the care and comfort of the dogs very seriously which gives us a lot of peace of mind while we are at work. We're truly so thrilled to have found Eric and can't wait to hear what amazing day our pup had every week! We cannot recommend Eric enough.

Eric was easy to communicate with and took good care of our dog for a long weekend. He sent videos/updates daily. She came home clean and happy - we will book again!

Our dog likes getting out to walk and be social. Eric was good about getting her out and sending a picture from their adventures. He lives in a good location for incorporating treats from local businesses.

I have a fenced in yard, while also living close by to parks for fun walks. My house is very dog friendly so they will be safe and unable to get into any trouble. I also have Apple AirTags that I can easily affix to dog collars as an insurance in the unlikely event your pet was to get loose during my time with them.

Information Eric D. would like to know about your pet

Before caring for your pet, I’d very much appreciate it if the basic information about your pet was filled out including if they were friendly with cats, dogs children, required medication etc. In addition I’d love to know about their personality, routine, and any special needs they may have. Details such as dietary restrictions, medication schedules, and exercise preferences are especially important. Understanding their social behavior, whether they enjoy meeting other dogs or prefer quiet time, helps me tailor their care. Additionally, knowing their favorite toys, treats, and comfort items ensures I can provide an stress-free and enjoyable experience. The more I know, the better I can ensure your pet feels safe, loved, and well cared for.

A typical day

A typical day with me starts with a refreshing morning walk to ensure your dog gets some exercise and fresh air. Depending on your pet’s energy level, we might play fetch, tug-of-war, or enjoy some interactive puzzle toys to keep their mind engaged. For calmer dogs, leisurely strolls or relaxing cuddle time are always an option. Throughout the day, I’ll provide regular potty breaks, feeding according to their schedule, and plenty of affection. If your dog enjoys social time, we might visit a local park or explore nearby trails for a fun adventure. My goal is to keep your pet happy, active, and comfortable while you’re away.
