Reliable, CGC-trained dog walker
Like many, I grew up with a dog. But now, I can’t imagine life without my own sweet 3yr golden retriever. I’ve worked with her to get her certified as a Canine Good Citizen. Since I know how to read dogs and work with them consistently, I always incorporate training and good habits into a walk. I currently have a repeating drop in, and a regular walk that is ending so I’d love to walk more regular puppers! Last year, I also helped care for a house with three dogs (one was a Cane Corso), a cat, an aquarium, and a bearded dragon, so multiple, even large, animals don’t throw me off. I also have experience caring for senior dogs and post-surgery. It can be hard to trust someone else to care for your furry companions, so I look forward to the opportunity to make you feel comfortable and your pets feel loved and cared for! Safety, trust & environment
Before I leave, I check that doors and gates are secure, confirm collar and leash fit, and make sure water is filled. I’ve worked with food motivated, play motivated, and praise motivated dogs, and adjust my approach to what works for each one. My walks stay consistent, using positive reinforcement, and allowing for plenty of “sniffari” time for enrichment. On days over 95F, I’ll swap the walk for a drop-in instead, to keep the dog safe from the heat.

Emma is our favorite neighborhood dog walker, my wife and I have had her for years, and she feels like part of the family. Reliable, communicative and not afraid to ask questions when she's unsure, Emma always makes sure to go above and beyond when she takes care of our home and our pets. Would and have recommended her to many neighbors over the years and will continue to do so.
Emma is such a sweetheart! My cats are so shy but they ADORE her, and always come out to play when Emma does drop ins with them. She is kind, patient and punctual, and sends great photo updates. 10/10 would recommend her any day!
Clearly a pet lover, Emma is always so patient with my rambunctious pups and keeps them out of trouble when I'm away! She's my go-to for dog sitting whenever I'm out of town.

Schedule
I work part time, so dog walks and drop-ins fit easily into my week. I’m currently walking for one regular client and have a lot of availability.

- Please let me know if your dog has any behavioral or medical issues that I should monitor. For example, reactive to people/animals/kids, likes to eat rocks/poop/grass, are nervous around new people, had trouble walking up and down stairs, or pull a lot on a leash. I would also love to know if they have any specific commands they respond to, or certain tricks they are working on. All of this info helps me work with the dog and have an overall positive experience.
