Pet care experience
My name is Emma & my husband, Chad, & I have been rescuing reservation dogs, mustangs, birds, etc. for many years now. We have 5 acres, 9 dogs, 4.5 horses (one is a mini) & lovebirds (secured in a cage in our office). We understand good fences & good discipline, as well as love & patience, makes good animals & we learn more every year from our own animals. We have trained horses & we've seen the beautiful change in an untrusting reservation dog as they become a part of our pack. I recently beat cancer & also lost our beloved dog of 9 years in the same year. 2022 has been rough & starting 2023 all I want to do is be around animals & we have a pretty good set up for it. I have 2 yards (very large & small/medium) with a dog door that goes to a laundry room from the smaller yard, a gate between the 2 yards & a very large insulated dog house in the big yard. I'm pretty good at reading dogs & knowing which ones we can handle & which ones my property can handle. I can also allow friendly dogs to play with my socially well-behaved pack if desired or I can isolate them too. I love learning from animals, they are healing to me. I can bathe, excercise, feed & love your furry friends while you are gone, just let me know your pet's needs & I will do my best to meet them. Emma is my wife. She's been rescuing dogs for years (which means I have been too). Nobody loves a rescue dog life my wife does, it's her passion. Animals are her passion, really. From little love birds to big horses, you can trust her/us with your furry friends.
We've known our neighbors Emma and Chad her { husband } for 7 plus years. We'll see her walking some dogs, her mini horse or riding her horses by. She's very loving and we'll stop and visit for a while. The neighbor kids come out and visit too. She's kind and loving with everyone. Her kind heart shines through even in the animals. She has a great deal of knowledge in animals. We would never hesitate to ask her to care for any of our animals, trusting a person with my furry kids is hard decision, not with Emma though.
I met Emma through a friend years ago. I have a dog that has never allowed others to pet her. After a short time, my dog Buck warmed up to Emma so much that I finally found someone I could trust to care for my dog when I have to be away. Now, when we make the turn onto Emma's Street, Buck starts yapping happily like a puppy. I am so thankful I know Emma. I could never stand the thought of leaving my dog in a kennel and now I know I will never have to. Emma's the best!
Emma is the only one I trust to care for our dog Ginger. I have never met anyone who has more love for animals. Not only does she care for them, she brings an amazing breadth of knowledge about dogs, and horses gained through years of rescuing and taking in animals without families of their own. I often call her for advice on any issue we may have with our dog. Besides being a true animal lover, she is dependable, trustworthy and honest.

I am by nature very meticulous & attentive to detail, so much so that I drive people crazy sometimes. I also know the first worry in my mind when I go out of town is my farm & how sitters will care for my animals. Tell me your animals needs & I will do my best to make them feel at home & care for them as you wish. Whether they want to sleep in a dog bed inside, in a dog house under the stars, in a laundry room full of my dog's dog pile (I do sometimes, lol) , whatever it is. I can walk them in the woods & take them for car rides, or I can kennel them safely when I run errands & such. Whatever you need & want, just let me know & we will do our best to accommodate! I do want to make sure to mention that we'll behaved, potty trained dogs that get along with my dogs are most definitely allowed in the house. I can likely arrange something for your pet.

Thins like their temperament, how they do around other dogs/people/horses, any bad habits, anything you do not want them doing or eating, if they are kennel trained, etc. will help me to better accommodate your pup.
A typical day
My dogs & horses are my best friends. I don't have kids, so these guys keep me young & enjoying life. We go for walks, play & even out on the boat or in the woods if the weather is nice.

Availability
Due to cancer, I am slowly getting back to work, but not quite working the long hours I used to & my husband does some of the work himself (we are self employed). Many of my days are spent with my animals & doing office work so I have a good bit of free time now & would love to spend it taking care of a waggle tail that I don't have to call my own (for the sake of our marriage & finances 😆). With enough of a heads up I'm sure I can arrange most any pet sitting just reach out & tell me your needs. :) Doesn't hurt to ask 🤷♀️
