My work experience includes firefighter/paramedic, ER nurse, clinic work, and am certified in Pet First Aid.

We were so pleased to find Emily. She is kind and calm and was flexible with our changing dates. We appreciate her willingness to accommodate our short notice change of plans. She was even able to get our shy dog to snuggle! We would be very happy to have her come back.

As an experienced dog owner and trainer, I can’t say enough about how much I appreciate Emily’s dog sitting and walking skills! My seven month-old golden retriever got the royal treatment and added some training skills after his time with her. Paddington was having so much fun there- he didn’t want to leave when I picked him up! I was reassured by our meet & greet that Emily is beyond qualified to care for my dog and her flexibility and reliability made it easy to schedule. There are a few truly gifted dog people out there who can be counted on when you need support for your beloved companion. Emily is one of them! Highly recommend.
Emily Kate is one of the few people I would leave my precious Bella (a blue eyed Dalmatian) with! She is an animal whisperer and attracts all the snuggles that the cats and dogs want to provide. I am the Clinical Director at a local free clinic. This allows me to have flexible but predictable hours each week. Because of this I can provide consistent, punctual visits with compassionate care for your pets. For house sitting I can make mid day visits so that your pets are not alone for longer than needed.

I cater each experience to the needs of you and your pet. I prefer to have clear communication of your preferences so that I can ensure that you are as happy with the visit as your pets are. For house sitting, I stay in the home so pets can remain in their familiar space with minimal disruption. I follow their usual feeding, walking, and medication schedules, provide companionship throughout the day and evening, and ensure the home is cared for as well (lights, plants, mail, basic tidiness). My goal is to maintain a calm, consistent presence so pets feel safe and relaxed while their owners are away. For in home drop-ins, I provide feeding, fresh water, litter box or yard clean up, medications if needed, and quality time with each pet. I tailor each visit to the pet’s energy level and personality including playtime, short walks, or quiet companionship. I also provide updates after each visit so owners feel connected and reassured. For dog walking, I focus on safe, structured walks that match your dog’s pace and needs. I prioritize leash safety, positive reinforcement, and a calm walking experience. Walks can include neighborhood routes or familiar areas your dog enjoys, or local dog parks, and I always ensure they return home settled, hydrated, and comfortable.
