Peaceful, Private Pup Retreat 🐶🐾
Pet care experience
I’ve spent the past 10+ years caring for dogs of all kinds—energetic puppies, aging seniors, anxious rescues, confident adventurers, and sweet, sensitive souls who just need a little extra time to warm up. My work is rooted in presence, intuition, and a deep love for the emotional and spiritual lives of animals. I believe every dog has their own language, rhythm, and energetic needs—and I’ve built my care philosophy around honoring that. Before starting Gone Dog, I was the “go-to sitter” in my community for families with complex care routines and dogs who needed more than just a potty break. Now, my partner and I have created a peaceful, home-based retreat where your dogs can experience calm, connection, and individualized care. We only host one household at a time to ensure your pups get the full depth of our attention—there’s no revolving door of unfamiliar guests, overstimulation, or chaos here. I specialize in creating sacred, structured environments for dogs to decompress, regulate, and thrive. Whether that’s through mindful walks, soothing routines, enrichment play, gentle massage, or simply being the grounded energy your dog needs to feel safe—I bring my full presence to the experience. I also have experience with medical needs, multi-dog households, behavioral quirks, and custom diets, and I’m happy to support your pet’s wellness in whatever way helps them feel most at home. This isn’t just a job—it’s a calling. I’m here to offer more than just dog care. I’m here to hold space for your companions with the same tenderness and reverence I give my own.
Reviews

Excellent care! Emily and Kenneth clearly enjoy dogs and our dog loves them!

Absolutely the best care for our pup! Emily stayed in touch multiple times a day. Bruno could not have had a better time! We will 100% book with Emily and Kenneth again!!

Our dog , 1.5 years old small size mixed breed, has been with Emily for 3 times. He was a happy tail every time. Emily is caring and loving. He has taken Emily’s home as his second home.😀

Frito came home one tired dog, which means Frito had a great day! Thanks for the photos, report, the fun video and taking such good care of Frito!

Safety, trust & environment
Our home is peaceful, stable, and energetically calm—an ideal space for dogs to relax, decompress, and feel truly held. We only welcome one household at a time, ensuring that your pups are never overwhelmed by unfamiliar dogs or unpredictable energy. This creates a safe, consistent container for your dog to settle in, be themselves, and receive care that’s as unique as they are. Your dogs are never left alone. One of us is always home, present, and tuned in. We offer full-time attention rooted in observation, intuition, and trust-building. Whether your dog is high-energy, emotionally sensitive, slow to warm up, or a total cuddle bug—we meet them exactly where they are, and let them lead the pace of connection. Our home is entirely crate-free and designed with softness and safety in mind. There are quiet corners for dogs who need space, sunlit nap spots for rest, plush beds, familiar routines, and gentle transitions throughout the day. All outdoor time is fully supervised in a securely enclosed yard with space to sniff, stretch, and explore. Inside, the energy stays low and loving—never loud or chaotic. We are confident handling a wide range of needs—senior dogs, medication schedules, multi-dog households, custom diets, anxious or reactive pups—and we never view quirks as problems. We see them as invitations to deepen trust. If your dog has fears, sensitivities, or boundaries, we hold space for them with respect and care. Above all, we know that trusting someone with your beloved companion is a big deal. We honor that with complete presence, holistic care, and an environment designed to feel like a sanctuary—for dogs and humans alike.

Information Emily & Kenneth P. would like to know about your pet
We welcome all the details—nothing is too silly, specific, or “extra.” If your dog needs a bedtime story, prefers to eat under the table, gets nervous around wind chimes, or has a complicated goodnight routine… we want to know! The more you share, the better we can hold space for your pup with love, respect, and calm consistency. Please let us know about your dog’s: • Emotional needs or sensitivities • Feeding routines or food quirks • Triggers, fears, or reactivity • Medical needs or mobility issues • Social preferences (with people or other dogs) • Favorite comforts, toys, or calming tools • Any history of aggression, biting, or resource guarding We don’t judge. We adapt. Our goal is to make your dog feel safe, seen, and supported—exactly as they are.
A typical day
Every day unfolds at a peaceful pace, rooted in presence and designed to help your dog feel safe, calm, and connected. We start our mornings slow—waking gently, letting everyone get their bearings, and heading outside for fresh air and soft greetings to the day. Breakfast is unrushed, water is fresh, and music or calming sounds set the tone for a grounded start. Throughout the day, we follow your dog’s rhythm. Some want sniffy enrichment walks and structured playtime. Others prefer naps in sunbeams, soft cuddles, or quiet solo time. We offer enrichment based on their needs—puzzle feeders, snuffle mats, guided sensory play, nature walks, brushing, massage, and heart-to-heart connection. There’s no overcrowding or overstimulation—just your dogs, our focused care, and a rhythm that supports rest as much as play. Midday might bring a second outing, a change of energy, or cozy togetherness. We stay attuned to shifts and help your pups stay regulated through transitions and excitement. Evenings are slow and soothing. Dinner, outside time, wind-down routines, and deep rest. We dim lights, speak softly, and move at the pace that invites comfort and decompression. If your dog has bedtime rituals—special music, a favorite blanket, or nighttime affirmations—we’re here for that. There is no “one size fits all” day here. We tune in. We adapt. We show up. Every day is crafted to help your dog feel at home in their body, in this space, and in the energy around them.

Availability
Hours of Availability: Drop-Off: 6:30 AM - 9:30 AM Pick-Up: 3:30 PM - 6:30 PM We’re home full-time and offer round-the-clock, heart-centered care for the dogs we host. That means someone is always here—24/7. This is not a side hustle or something we squeeze in—caring for animals is our daily rhythm. From sunrise snuggles to bedtime wind-downs, our days are centered on presence, consistency, and emotional attunement. Because we only accept one household at a time, your pets will never be just one among many. There’s no rotating cast of unfamiliar animals, no overstimulation, and no chaotic pack energy—just peace, structure, and one-on-one connection. We offer a calm, stable environment where routines unfold gently, and your dog’s preferences are honored with real intention. We rise early and structure our day around the natural flow of the dogs in our care. That might mean quiet morning potty breaks followed by a soft start indoors, a mid-morning forest walk or backyard enrichment session, slow afternoons full of rest and regulated nervous systems, and evenings that feel like an exhale. Our goal is for your dog to feel safe and deeply supported—emotionally, physically, and energetically—while they’re here. Because we are fully present, we also have the flexibility to accommodate unique feeding times, medication schedules, bedtime rituals, or mid-day cuddle needs. No request is too “extra”—if it helps your pup feel at home, we’re all in. When your dog stays with us, they’re not fitting into our schedule—we’re adapting to theirs. And we’ll keep you in the loop every step of the way.
