Pet care experience
Hello I’m Emily you may already know me as the owner of ScratchNplay Pet Services I am trained in K9 first aid and certified in Animal care lv3. I am a huge animal lover and treat any pets I look after as if they are my own, giving lots of attention to make them feel very much at home. I aim to understand their needs and how they require to be cared for to ensure the best stay. Guest pets are allowed on furniture, and usually, come evening, they will be snuggled up beside me snoring or on my lap. For first-time Rover clients, you can use my code "EMIG63748" during checkout to receive a £15 discount on your first booking with me. *Licensed with Solihull Council 24/04860/ALACT What this means: we have had an inspection to ensure the home is up to high standards,at least 1(myself)of my family is trained in first aid&has qualifications in an animal based course. Being licensed also ensures both yours(the pet)&my insurance is valid if required.

Reviews

Gladys had another amazing visit with Emily. We got sent lots of photos and videos of her having fun in fields and streams. Gladys is always so excited to go there!! Emily was really accomodating when we needed to extend the visit last minute.

We have left Ruby with Emily a number of times now and she always has a fantastic time during her stays. Emily confidently handles all the dogs in her care and seems to adore them all as if they were her own dog. Ruby is always very happy to stay with her and Riley, which makes it a lot easier to leave her when we go away. Thank you Emily.

Barbara has stayed a few times now and it's her favorite home from home, she's waggy tailed as soon as we pull up! Emily takes great care of her, she patient with Barbaras fussy eating. She sends great updates and take brilliant pictures highly recommended

Emily is the best. Super communicative and flexible when I have been stuck in traffic. Penny tries to jump out of my car when she realises we are at Emily’s house. She loves her so much and I know Penny is well looked after in her care.

Information Emily G. would like to know about your pet
Before bringing your dog into my care, there are several important considerations: *Vaccinations: It's essential that your dog is up to date with vaccinations. •Kennel cough(Bordetella) vaccine is not required but I always recommend it especially for puppies and the oldies who are more prone to it. *Social Behavior: Your dog must be able to get along with other dogs under the same roof. •If your dog acts aggressive towards another guest or our dog you or your emergency contact will be informed to collect. *Behavioral Disclosures: Please inform me of any behaviors such as resource guarding with toys/treats/beds and/or reactivity on a lead. *Before Booking: Prior to booking I offer a free meet and greet for you and your dog to come to our home for a visit. During the visit they will have the chance to explore the garden and main living area and meet our dog,Riley. •For longer bookings I may recommend booking in a 1-2 night stay beforehand to get them settled into the new environment and adjusted to me. *Allergies and Medications: If your dog has any known allergies or is on medication, please provide this information, including dosage. *Medical Concerns: If your dog has any specific medical concerns, it's crucial to share these details with me for their well-being. •You may be asked to sign a document acknowledging your dog has these medical conditions before their stay.
A typical day
Our days are filled with adventures in local parks and expansive 200-acre fields, weather permitting. Dogs with a good recall get to run and play off-leash, while others stick to a long line. They all love it, coming back tired after a playful romp through long grass and streams. Our garden is large and secure complete with doggy pools in the summer. I'm even considering adding ball pits and sandpits for some extra fun. In the evening, we take walks after dinner, sometimes in the dark, and we've got glow-in-the-dark collars to keep everyone visible. Inside, we've got a variety of toys – chews, puzzles, Kongs – to keep them active, especially on rainy days. It guarantees a happy and sleepy pup at night!
